Animal control found her. And she was brought to a shelter. Polly was supposed to be euthanized but we had promised her we would be back for her… that’s the day Polly’s life truly began again. Ivy came to the rescue after several people made numerous calls to the local county sheriff office. Ivy had been tied to a tree for three days. She was tethered so close to the tree that she could hardly move. Ivy was tied to the tree during several days of heavy rain in South Texas. Ivy was finally surrendered to the rescue and enjoyed getting out of the rain and regular feeding. Ivy has done well on housetraining and can make it through the night without any accidents. She has a great disposition and gets along with all the dogs here at the rescue. Ivy enjoys being in the office while we work and especially enjoys it when she has a toy or a red barn hoof or Ecokind yak cheese. bones. Ivy is cat selective. Luckily one of the wonderful farmers in the area saw them and contacted the rescue. His family even offered to foster them in their huge backyard and his mom has taught them manners as well. She’s home all day and has worked with them inside and outside of the house nonstop. These pups are wonderful with other dogs and would do well in a home with children.
