Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Perspective is everything and adding in a prodigy of love will raise the bar high. For these sweet souls, they have set their sights on having a forever family. They are mapping out their journey to their happily ever after. At the young age of 6 months, this litter of Rhodesian Ridgeback mixes have their sights on a loving home. Go big or go home is their motto and they are living up to that standard every day. Setting the bar high is what Luan likes to do. With a big love will come a big dog as she is expected to be over 60 pounds when she is fully grown. She is currently 32 pounds and looking forward to growing up. Luan is looking to have a fulfilling life with all the trimmings. She is looking to build a solid friendship base with others around her whether they are acquaintances or tried and true friends. She can mingle seamlessly with other dogs, children of all ages and adults. She has not had the opportunity to meet a feline. It is unknown at this time if she would be inclined to welcome a feline companion. Her perspective is that of the glass being half full, so she looks forward to embarking on exciting adventures, discoveries and blazing trails. She is posed to be a great house dog and with determination she is working on her house, crate and leash training. It is a journey of small steps to reach her destination, but she is committed to it. Daily practice is ideal to reach the summit of her goals. She looks forward to the assistance of her family to make that happen. As with all puppies, Luan is full of curiosity and wonderment, and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion. Story
Great dog just need a new home. He would really benefit from a single owner who can take him for long walks. Very loving but he has a habit of chasing our kids and knocking them over and this has been an issue so a house without young children would be better. He is not an aggressive or mean dog just has the natural instinct to want to run and catch things that are running. He really needs a person who will walk him daily and take him down trails and hikes.

These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1427243##
