Story
ROLO Male, neutered 8 years old Black Mouth Cur/Terrier Mix 50 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention &#226&#128&#139O n Dasuquin and fish oil for possible arthritis in back legs, but he runs and walks just fine Mellow, sweet Rolo was rescued by Lovepaws at the last minute from a local animal shelter after being brought in as a stray. He may be 8 years old, but he has energy to play ball (and catch), roll around in the grass and go for walks. Rolo is the perfect boy on a leash! He doesn’t pull or react to other people or animals on walks. He will go up to someone to get a few pets but does it very calmly. He lets children pet him and other dogs sniff him to say hi. Jumping up on people is not his style and he doesn’t bark. Rolo is most interested in making human friends, but does well with the meowing kind as well. Rolo is the most comfortable and behaves best if left out on the couch when you leave to run errands. He'll still be there when you get home and nothing has been destroyed. He sits when you tell him to and takes treats gently. All he wants is for a person to love him, play with him a little, walk with him, and best – snuggle with him.   Interested in adopting? Life in a shelter is not for me, and I dream of finding a caring home where I will be loved forever. I like making friends with other dogs, but I'm the quiet one and you'll see me before you hear me. I'm an easy-going pup, and I believe in spreading love and friendliness around. I don't ask for much, just a warm bed, regular meals and a family who'll love me back. If you're looking for a loyal friend who'll always be there for you, then I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's make some beautiful memories together!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
