Story
We found him a couple months ago abandoned at a park. Had him scanned for a microchip but he doesn't have one. Posted him on local Facebook groups and nobody claimed him. I live in an RV and he really needs a bigger place with a yard. Very energetic. He will sit on command and is house broken. He loves affection and is good with other animals kids etc. Very sweet dog. He will come with a large kennel, color and leash and anything else I have bought for him. He has received one dose of 10in1 shots from tractor supply. Flea and tick meds given monthly. We believe he is a mostly full breed blue lacy. Weigh around 40lbs. Vet that scanned him said he believes he is about a year or so old. He is not fixed.

Story
OPTIMISTIC GOOFBALL  Estimated date of birth is 8/8/22, weight 55 lbs. Poor Kip, he waited so patiently for all of December, hoping that a home for Christmas would happen, his dream come true, so he wouldn’t have to live at a boarding kennel for another year.  His bag was packed, and he was ready to greet Santa coming down the chimney, but … Kip is a FUN JUNKY that loves to play with other dogs (sometimes it looks like Wrestlemania), but his second favorite activity is to hang out with his foster mom, chewing on a good bone.  He’s such a goofball, always optimistic, always sure that a treat is hiding in your pocket and it has his name on it!  A sweet potato – yes.   A couch potato – not so much, although when he’s finally worn out, he does relax and loves to be petted while he snoozes on his dog cot. Kip has been to obedience school and knows the basics (Sit, Down, Place, Wait).  He also knows how to use the doggy door, is OK with baths (he splashes around in the pond at the dog park), and loves to go on walks (and doesn’t pull much). This boy had a rough first year of his life: abandoned at a large park, found his way to a kennel, was picked up by the City Pound, caught parvo at the pound, and wound up on the euthanasia list before his foster mom sprung him!  Kip’s ideal home environment would have a mom/ dad with an active lifestyle, a spunky little canine sister to play and snuggle with, and a nice-sized backyard to run around and get the zoomies out.  Are you up for it!? HOPE ID D24-0113-0003 If you are interested in Kip and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.January 4, 2025, 12:44 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Do you love to cuddle? I am your gal!Did you see my adorable face?  I am a fun loving girl, who loves to crawl up on my foster mom's lap and cuddle. I play all day with my foster siblings. But if there is a spare lap, I am right there! Did someone say water? How about mud? I have discovered if I get dirty, mom gives me a bath! I love water and especially love it when mom scrubs me with great smelling bubbles and then rubs me dry with a big fluffy towel. I love water! Sometimes I sit in our empty puppy pool just begging mom to fill it up! I am an active dog and not suitable for an apartment, nor small children. I will need another dog in the house to keep me happy.  I am protective of my people, so  proper introductions need to happen to anyone new. AARFhouston.org/forms My litter mates and I were orphaned at two weeks old after our mother died. I love to play with my siblings and foster moms dogs! I would love to have an older sibling in my new home to play with and teach me how to be a well mannered pup! I should be around 30-45 pounds when full grown.  My adoption fee includes four rounds of shots, rabies shots, neuter and microchip (at a regular vet all of these services would cost over $500!)  ========================================================= Please contact app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application .  Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am Super smart, fun loving guy who would love to have an active family. I am not an apartment guy! I need to run.Bethoven says: I would make you the happiest family EVER!  I'm super cute, and super happy and super cuddly! I have lots of energy for walks or runs or playing with the hose in the backyard (its like my most favoritest thing).    I would make the most bestest dog brother EVER!  I love to instigate play and would be your bestiest friend! (like 4-ever). You'll never find a better dog brother than I would be! I'm kind of a big boy, and apparently I'm a bit 'oral' Whatever that means *sheesh*. I DON'T bite, NO WAY!  But I've got a lot of puppy still, or so they say... so I like to put my mouth on things, especially when I'm playing.   I really want to find my forever home, my first family really loved me, but had to give me up because my first momma needed to get out of bad situation and the shelter didn't allow me to come.   I'm just know I'll be the bestest dog you've ever had!   aarfhouston.org/forms for an application    Please contact app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Arlo. I’m intelligent, funny, charming, lovable, extremely energetic, and so handsome. I need lots of attention and a job to do. I hate being left alone for long periods. And I must have lots of cuddle time. I enjoy doing fun activities and learning. True to my breed, I also like to herd my sisters. I’m the perfect cuddle buddy, and I like to watch TV with my human. I really like shows with animals, especially other dogs. I can jump almost 6 feet into the air, so I need a minimum 6 ft fence when I play outdoors. I like most adults. But small kids make me very uncomfortable. I move hard and fast, and don’t realize my own strength. I like other dogs, but I can be protective of my food and toys. I prefer to be around female dogs. And I don’t like dominant, pushy dogs. I would be an awesome therapy dog, or something cool like that. I can run fast and jump high, so I would also be awesome at agility. I need a parent who can  recognize and appreciate my amazing abilities, and will continue to bring out the best in me. Is that you?  ========================================================= Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application .
