I was adopted from Bradshaw Animal Shelter in Sacramento after being found abandoned on the side of the highway as a little puppy. I live up to the border collie reputation as I am full of energy & I love the thrill of the herd/chase! I am very intelligent and know all my basic obedience and some extra tricks like bow, paw, and roll over. My trainer said they think I would be great at agility. I love my humans and bond quickly. Mom calls me a "velcro" puppy because I am always following her around, trying to crawl on the couch with her, or leaning up against her legs as she cooks. I would love to be with someone who shares my interest in the outdoors, going on walks, playing fetch, and who I can be around for a large part of the day. *active and eager to please, needs lots of exercise and stimulation *needs work with loose leash walking and excitability *has a fear of paws being touched/nail trims Adoption fee will be donated to local animal shelters

this is Aurora. She is a border collie. She is a very loving and loyal pup. We saved her from being sent to the pound to go to forever sleep 6 months ago and have enjoyed our time with her. Unfortunately we are looking to rehome her. she is super energetic and requires more attention than we can give her right now. She turned 1 on February 3rd. She knows general commands (sit, stay, come and paw) and is crate trained. She is great with kids and other dogs, she has not been around cats to our knowledge so we are not sure how she is with them. We truly wish we could keep her but with how much energy she has, and our inability to meet those needs, it would be selfish of us to keep her. . We want her to go to a loving and caring home. She will have a collar (with an apple air tag for tracking in case she gets out), leash and crate that can go with her if desired.

Koda is the best and most loyal dog! He was born on a farm and was the runt. He was a huge resource guarder the first year and is now a little foodie. He is 3 years old and super smart, learning any new tricks you decide to teach him. I take him on a 1-2 mile walk every day. When I am not home, he is besties with my teen and loves hanging out with my husband. Gramma watches him when I am at work. Koda Loves playing with other dogs, enjoying walks and the dog park and is nice to strangers. He thrives with a schedule and if you are home all day. I LOVE this dog but feel that I HAVE to put my daughter and husband first. At certain times when I am home he will sit outside my bedroom or bathroom door and guard me. My husband and daughter feel threatened when he does this. We have to put him in his room when making dinner or he guards the kitchen. He would be great in a one person home or an experienced person who loves a dog who can swim in the river and fetch for days.
