Ozzy is a good athletic dog. He does have tons of energy and is super fast. He loves to play fetch. He does have some issues with barking at people that come to his house. He is protective of his yard. It would be best if he had a good amount of space, with enough room run around in however he will not wonder off. So if you do not have a fence, he will stay close to his owner. He is easily excited and can get some anxiety when kids are swimming or too far ahead on a hike. With the proper training he would be a great farm dog or a companion for some that lives in remote locations. He needs mental stimulation daily, but he is a little nervous around dogs he does not know. He will play with other dogs he is familiar with. He does great hiking, mountain biking and camping. Ozzy will come and he is house trained. Ozzy is a good dog that needs a lot of love and exercise. Ideal spots for him would be out in nature.

I'm Solo! I came to Wags and Whiskers because my owner got in trouble and their family was unable to house me due to my size. I have a lot to learn still, and staff here are helping me to try to learn some basic commands, I've finally got "sit" down! I am potty trained, but after being at the rescue for a while, I might need a little patience and a few days to get back on a routine of being let out regularly. I do well with other dogs my size or larger that share my energy level, but I prefer to be fed alone, since I get super protective of my food around other dogs; I'll gladly eat in a crate or in a separate room. I love to chase cats, so please don't apply for me if you like your kitties. I have proven well with respectful kids as young as 7 so far, but I do pull the leash still, so kids shouldn't hold my leash by themselves yet.
