Meet Bada🩵 At the end of June 2022, Bada was admitted to the shelter with a fractured front leg. Bandaged in the hot weather, his wound attracted flies, and upon examination after rescue, his bones were misaligned, requiring a second surgery. Now, his bones have healed well, and he is happily running around without any issues. 😊 * Interaction with People : Bada is extremely fond of people. He's a sweetheart to humans, always greeting them with a big smile, which is so adorable. ❤ * Interaction with Dogs: He can be assertive towards dogs who play rough, so caution is needed. Tends to avoid encountering dogs with whom he had a clash at the Center. * Potty Training: He's been doing outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: He's cooperative with ear cleaning and doesn't resist. However, he might whine when getting his nails trimmed as he's not used to it, so regular walks to grind his nails are necessary. * Walking: He follows people without pulling on the leash. Sometimes, he may resist going where he doesn't want to, but with leash training, he'll likely improve quickly. * Car Sickness: He's fine in the car and doesn't experience motion sickness at all! 💌Special Notes💌 * Separation anxiety and toilet training are still unknown as he's been living in a group at the center. * He rarely barks unnecessarily, but sometimes, he may bark alertly at external noises. He stops when called. * Bada enjoys being with people and receiving love while resting, so a place where he can receive undivided attention would be ideal. ☺️ He also enjoys his alone time when needed!

Although he experienced lots of accidents and has tragic memories about his past, he is a human-loving dog who shows lots and lots of love and affection! *Toward dogs: Is an energetic dog who loves playing with dog friends. Small dogs may be afraid of him sometimes due to his upbeat personality, but he can become a gentle dog by training him to control his excitement! *Separation anxiety: Unknown as he is staying at the center. *Potty training: Only outdoor potties at the center. *Hygiene: Has not experienced proper hygiene care yet as he is recovering/ getting treatments after his surgery, but he took hygiene-related care very well before surgery! ☺️ *Walking: Enjoys walking, but needs training as he may get hyper-excited. *Car-sickness: Rides cars very well without carsickness! 🖤Rescue Story🤍 Rown was rescued from the streets. He urgently needed surgery as he ate stones and screws. His legs were also injured probably due to the tough street environment, so he also had leg surgery and is currently recovering well. Rown is looking for a forever family that can give him lots of love and help make him healthy again! 🙏🏻 💌Special Notes💌 *Is undergoing rehabilitation after his ankle surgery, but has recovered a lot and walks well now! Oliver is a 9 old handsome border Collie mix that was adopted out of a local shelter when he was 16 weeks old. His birthdate is November 06, 2014. Oliver has had the same owner until recently and unfortunately the owner decided that it was best to surrender him to a local kill shelter due to the fact that he has osteosarcoma and amputation of the front leg was necessary. We could not allow this handsome boy to decline sitting behind bars so we stepped in to save him and brought him into our program. Oliver is enjoying his life in his new foster home - and his missing leg does not bother him at all!!! He is making friends slowly as he himself is still learning how to navigate his world with only three legs. Oliver runs all over the five acres, jumps up onto the porch and into vehicles with no problems. He does tend to get tired after a bit of running and exploring, then he returns to his crate and comfy bed. He is absolutely crate trained and housebroken. He will let you know when he needs to go out. Oliver does not play with toys very much but does enjoy a nice smoked marrow bone. Oliver is all about people and will easily become attached to his human. He is a quiet dog...not a barker. Oliver is looking for a quiet place without small children as the noise and activity level of small children make him nervous. He is a very chill dog and needs a very chill home to live out the rest of his days. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. This compact 8 year old came to us as a pup originally after being hit by a car and left for dead with a fractured leg and pelvis. After a complicated surgery and rehab she made a full recovery and is an active healthy girl. Sadly due to changes in her adopters' living situation she is back at the shelter after years in a loving home, and she's very unhappy about it:/Hannah is a bit nervous and untrusting with new people, but after proper introductions and some yummy treats to win her over her sweet side shines through. She's very in tune to her people and their moods, and once you are in her circle of friends her loyalty and devotion is unmatched. She hasn't been socialized with other dogs and reacts when she sees them at a distance on leash, and a home where she can be the only pet and in a quieter low traffic living arrangement would be best for her. She knows her commands, is housebroken and well mannered in the house, and is about 50lbs full grown. We think she's border collie or cattle dog mixed with pittie, and she has the intelligence, energy, and playfulness of all 3 rolled into one little dog. Adults only please, she hasn't been around kids and they would frighten her. This is BEN! This 23 pounds and ~5 months old as of October. We think he’s a “Borador” (Lab/Border Collie mix). Ben is a typical happy puppy who loves to play, and gets along great with all dogs! We really have nothing more to say about him because he’s such a sweetie. Ben and some other puppies were found under a bridge with their mama (or another adult female dog, we don’t actually know if it was their mom) who were all dumped there. Our founder feeds a dog who lives under the bridge every day and someone must have known this and left these dogs for us to rescue.
