Story
This is Walker, a Border Collie mix.  He’s around 3 years old and weighs between 45 and 50 pounds.  If you look closely at him, you’ll see his heart in his eyes.  That’s because he is a true lover and an old soul, despite his young age. Walker wears a medium length, white and black coat which suits him well. In addition to his good looks, this boy is also a dog of great temperament; he gets along well with other dogs, kids and his foster’s cat.  Walker would be a fine family dog.  (posted 3/21/24, TN)    **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  August 18, 2024, 2:19 pm

Story
Candy is a sweet 45 pound 18 month old girl who has been well loved but not understood by her first time dog owner family. Candy is house trained & crate trained. She has grown up with a five-year-old child and is used to a lot of hubbub with children coming in and out of the house. She would do well with a confident & active human who understands how to train a dog. This smart girl will be a great jogging partner or agility dog. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Story
Hello! Abbott is a bodercollie mixed with lab. My wife and I got him as a rescue in 2016. He is 7 years old. Abbott can get along with other dogs, it may take some time depending on personality. He does well with dogs his size and bigger. He is partially deaf that leads to anxiety moments. The ideal owners would be someone with a big backyard a family or couple experienced with dogs. He is playful, energetic, definitely has a personality, loving, loyal and can make a great family pet. Please reach out for more information or questions!

Story
Brio is a real sweetheart who needs a home that will give her attention and lots of love. Brio is from Washington state and is now staying with me in New Jersey. I am heartbroken that I am unable to keep her due to my housing situation but I hope that she can find happiness with a new family. Brio needs someone who understands anxiety and respects boundaries because she has had a rough past. That resulted in her having spots on her body that are triggering when touched. When she feels like her boundaries are being pushed she will freak out and show her teeth and look like she's trying to bite you, but she's never actually bit anyone- she just does this to protect herself. Brio would do best in a home without other dogs although she is able to live with them- she came from a farm with 2 other dogs. Part of her anxiety comes from her being attacked by a dog so she is hesitant with other dogs and doesn't like to play with them. However she LOVES to play with humans.

Story
Meet Oakley! Saved from Dallas Fort Worth Shelter from euthanasia! She was an owner surrender and was surrendered with another dog as well. She is dog, and kid friendly but we do not recommend her with any small animals at all! She would not be good with them. She loves to get your attention and would thrive in a household that just wants to show her nothing but love and affection. She has alot of energy and would also do best in an active household and is required to have a fenced in yard. She has nothing but love to give and wants to play. She is gaining great leash manners and with correction understands that pulling is a no-no and is working on her training skills. Contact us or put in an application for Oakley!
