Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comBagby is a conundrum… sometimes a sweet old boy who appears to have been someone’s baby at one time: reliably housetrained, knows several commands; follows me everywhere and accepts pets; but appears to have been deeply affected by his life on the streets, finding his food, protecting himself night and day. He must be sedated for grooming and if surprised, in pain or handled for exams/grooming - he will react. He gets along most of the time with other dogs, but will sometimes challenge.Bagby is a sweet old boy; with issues, his call name is Mudgeon, as in curmudgeon.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON Bagby ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Bagby is being fostered in Peoria, AZ in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
**Courtesy Post** Hi! I'm Cowboy! I'm an approximately 1 year old, male, Border Terrier/Bulldog mix who weighs about 30 pounds. I was found off 276 and Townsend in Rockwall on 07/11/2024 and never reclaimed. I am ready to find my furr ever home! I am a sweet guy who knows basic commands. I am working on crate training, house training, and walking on a leash. I am currently in foster and have been introduced to other dogs and kids but have not yet met any cats. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, current on my rabies vaccination and basic boosters. I am microchipped and heartworm negative! Since I am in foster, meet and greets will be scheduled by APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY. Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adopt.../adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet with approved applicants. Contact: info@rockwalladoptions.com and https://rockwalladoptions.com/

Story
Minnie is a SPECIAL NEEDS case. Until she trusts you, which doesn’t take long, she has significant behavioral problems (snarling, growling, snapping, barking, she will fear bite and she can sometimes be resource protective). She came from a situation of EXTREME neglect; she was kept outside 24/7 and starved. Therefore, she's VERY fearful of people at first, but once she trusts you, she's the sweetest, most loving dog, but, because she's SO fearful, she needs an EXPERIENCED adopter who will GO SLOW and allow her to build trust. She is usually at our adoption events on Saturdays. She gets along with other dogs although she doesn’t really play with them. She will do best as an only dog. She doesn’t seem to mind cats. She bonds STRONGLY to one person, so she will do best in a one person home. With the person she trusts, she’s EXTREMELY affectionate. She loves to be picked up and held and she loves to give kisses and get belly rubs and go on walks. Because of her issues, she will NOT be adopted into a home with children under 18 - if you're interested in her, please email poochsavers@gmail.com with your experience with abused/fearful/neglected dogs.
