Story
Botas looks like a border terrier. she has wire fur and is only about 2 years old. She was gifted to my boyfriend’s family as a super young puppy on September 9, 2023. She had two puppies last winter that we are also currently trying to rehome. She knows how to sit and loves to eat leftovers. She needs a loving home where she can run around without worry. She can’t be kept because my boyfriend is relocating for work and can’t have her in hotel rooms. Please if anyone is able to foster or adopt this sweet girl it would mean the world to her.

Story
Are you looking for a low-key, loving companion? A super sweet sidekick? If so, then I am your girl! I am a little shy in the beginning, but quickly warm up and love to give soft kisses and hang out by your side. My foster mom is amazed at how sweet I am and how well I get along with all of the other dogs and cats in the house. I love playing with my  stuffed animals and I am perfectly content to curl up on the couch while watching TV. I also love to sprawl out on the kitchen floor while she’s cooking dinner.  I was living outside, so you can imagine how much I adore a soft, warm bed. I have loved sleeping all night next to my foster mom. I have heartworms, but I’m almost done with my fast-kill treatment, completely covered by the rescue. My perfect companion will be patient with my sweet, shy self, especially as I continue working hard on my potty training—I’m making great progress! I really want to please and also do great in my crate.  I will say having a dog companion might help me warm up even faster and learn routines. Did I mention I don’t shed and I did amazing at the groomer! My foster mom was so proud, especially since I have never been to a groomer before.   My adoption fee is $250 locally in Houston, TX. It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip. The rescue is also covering my heartworm treatment. Story
BEST LITTLE PAL IN THE WORLD  DOB 4/4/24, weight 14 pounds Hey there everyone! I’m Benny, a cheerful, inquisitive, and alert red Cairn Terrier mix fella who’s got the drop ears of a Norfolk Terrier. I'm small enough for a lap-top snuggle and sturdy enough for a good romp on the lawn. Like most Cairn mixes, I do best with lots of close family contact. I’m cat-friendly and get along great small dogs as well as kids. I’m learning to walk on a leash, and I’m almost housebroken. Sometimes I’m still afraid of strangers. Perhaps my tentativeness is because I was found in a rural area wandering around alone and trying to fend for myself. Yikes! That was scary! Thank heavens a Good Samaritan scooped me up and brought me to my Foster Mom. Boy howdy! Was I ever glad to find a safe haven and to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye! A British breed club promotes us Cairns as the "best little pal in the world." We were originally bred to fearlessly root out foxes and badgers in the rocky Scottish countryside. Cairns became family favorites when Toto starred in "The Wizard of Oz." Now I’m ready to bring my cheery personality to brighten my forever home. Could that be with you? If scruffy terriers are your penchant, I was made to order for you! Arrange to meet me today! I'm anticipating crawling up in your lap for some chin and cheek scratches. I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. HOPE ID D25-0409-0022 If you are interested in Benny and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com  and a volunteer will get back to you. April 25, 2025, 10:59 am
