Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we! This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help! Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound, 9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home. Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie. This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls. HORRORS!!!!! OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG. This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie? She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her. Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her. We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her. I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there. She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment! Dexi and Lilly are siblings - from a breeder in TX, they have made their way to NJ and are looking for a new home. They are both about 13 years old and about 25 lbs. They are both fixed. Dexi is cool and collected, Lilly is a little bit sassy. They are bonded and need to remain as a pair. They are very friendly with kids and love all humans. As far as dogs go, they really only like each other and can be a bit vocal. They love food and treats, and are over all sweet dogs. They love the water, baths and car rides. Meet Marley Mae! Our sweet girl is just the best! She had a very tough start to life, being taken during a sheriff’s raid in Alabama. During that time it was believed she was kept in a kennel 24/7. When our southern partners pulled her and reached out to us, we immediately fell in love with her little face with the huge smile! Marley Mae is being fostered with other dogs and cats currently, she does well with kids and just loves absolutely everyone! She is fully vetted, microchipped, spayed and ready for her forever home! Marley Mae is considered a special needs pup as we believe she has suffered some type of trauma as a baby that affected her hind legs. She has been seen by our vet, an orthopedic vet and a neurological vet and with some physical therapy she is doing so much better! Her trauma does not affect her daily life! Don't let these pictures fool you!!! This dog is adorable in person! Meet Curly! This sweet boy is about 2 years old and weighs 18 pounds. He has striking blue eyes! Curly is crate trained, housebroken, good with kids and other dogs. Curly really takes his cues from his dog friends and he loves to play! He might be shy at first but then he bonds quickly and hard. He is extremely loyal to both his canine friends, his feline friends and his humans. We would love to see Curly go to a home with another dog to help boost his confidence and show him the ropes but we also see that he could flourish as an only dog with some patience and time! He really loves his people and attaches quickly. Curly has been around children but would recommend 10+ for in home living if there are kids. Of course cats and dogs are all welcome for him!
