Zorg is a two year old Boston Terrier. He is deaf and was surrendered to a high kill shelter. The shelter had him on the euth list but a Good Samaritan took him in and brought him to us! Zorg has done phenomenal with all people. He does well with other dogs, cats and respectful kids. Zorg needs no further medical care but needs a family that is patient with his hearing loss. He is house trained and can follow some basic hand signals. He especially loves it his light up ball! Zorg is microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. He is neutered. Chantilly, or Tilly for short, is a ton of love, personality, and snuggles with a hint of diva all rolled into a compact 32 lbs of gorgeous brindle and white!! We call her Silly Tilly!! She is nearly perfect! She has impeccable manners! At 6 years old she is mature enough to know the ropes! Completely housebroken, fine left alone uncrated for several hours, no inappropriate chewing, listens well and takes treats gently. Her energy level is perfect. Mostly chill but will play with toys and have the zoomies in the yard once or twice a day. She even has a few commands in her repertoire including "sit", "shake", "spin" and "speak"! She likes a shower too! She walked right into the stand up shower with her foster Mom so she got a shower with some lovely human shampoo since her foster Mom wasn't prepared for this! She was comfortable and easy-going from the start in her foster home and took to the house routine almost immediately. This girl will acclimate and bond SUPER QUICK with her new lucky family! She was dumped at a crowded rural shelter in April. Her family simply stated they could no longer care for her. The shelter was getting VERY over crowded like all shelters across the U.S. these days so Rogers' took her in to get her off "the list". It is a sad state our shelters are facing these days. There are just so many dogs being dumped so we are glad you are here, reading about Tilly, because that means you want to help this situation and ADOPT!! Tilly is one of the best behaved fosters her foster family has ever had and they have fostered alot of dogs. Tilly's new family must have one thing. Her new family needs to have a southern facing backyard so she can do what she loves to do best. SUN BATHE! (ok any direction backyard will actually do :). If competitive sunbathing was a thing, Tilly would win GOLD! Tilly is fine with other dogs. She was kenneled at the shelter with two and there are 2 resident dogs in her foster home. She enjoys the company of people over dogs but co-exists lovely with other dogs in the home. She loves to be where you are but not annoyingly so, loves a sturdy lap to enjoy pets if you let her, and will just snuggle up next you and be happy watching you do what you do! Need a home office buddy? A movie watching friend? An instant guest at backyard BBQs? Tilly is your gal. Tilly's breed is likely Boston Terrier with something else mixed in ... a bulldog perhaps? Maybe even Beagle? Only a DNA test will tell us for sure but she is sooooo adorable and has the cutest mug with her underbite!! You have to meet this gal to really appreciate how easy it is to love her! Wouldn't it be fun to have a DNA reveal party for this gal?? At this point you may be thinking ... "this gal sounds too perfect. what is the catch?". Well there is one catch. Tilly has a bum back left knee. It doesn't appear to cause her much pain and she gets around just fine, holding her leg up at times. We are in the process of getting her evaluated and so far it appears she will need orthopedic knee surgery. We are open to having her adoptive home take her and get the surgery done either with the vet she is going to now or their own vet and the rescue will pay for the surgery. We are also open to a family stepping up for her but having the surgery and recuperating while still in foster care and then being adopted to her family. Either way, Tilly gets the care she needs. Odie was surrendered by his owners and doesn’t quite understand why anyone wouldn’t want to keep him. He is absolutely the sweetest boy around. Odie is fully grown at 14 pounds is so eager to please. He does very well on a leash. This friendly little guy is just hopeful that his next family will be his forever family. Odie would do well in a home with kids or other small dogs. He’s the kindest little guy with the biggest heart, and he simply longs to be loved the way he loves in return. Meet Garden! Garden is a 6 month old, 23lb Boston/Heeler mix. She's one of the sweetest dogs you will ever encounter. She melts in your lap the second you sit on the ground. She's very gentile and loves belly rubs, giving licks and taking naps. She is still unsure about walking in the city and loud noises, but loves sniffing around in the grass and is a very inquisitive puppy. She's coming out of her shell and loves to play with toys or occasionally chew on a bone. We recently learned that she loves to play fetch! She's especially funny with ice cubes. Garden is extremely food motivated which has made training easy too. She can be timid around bigger dogs, but with slow introduction and time I think she will come around. She's much more interested in humans paying attention to her than she is anything else. Olive Garden is crate trained and will even sit in there herself when she's feeling overwhelmed. Curly is crate trained, housebroken, good with kids and other dogs. Curly really takes his cues from his dog friends and he loves to play! He might be shy at first but then he bonds quickly and hard. He is extremely loyal to both his canine friends, his feline friends and his humans. We would love to see Curly go to a home with another dog to help boost his confidence and show him the ropes but we also see that he could flourish as an only dog with some patience and time! Meet Ella! Ella is about 18 pounds and 6 and a half months old. We are not exactly sure what breed mixes she is but we know she is the perfect supermutt! Mom looked like a Boston Terrier maybe mixed with an American Staffordshire terrier, and Dad looked like a Shih Tzu with lots of other things, maybe a Jack Russell terrier, beagle, and maybe even Cairn Terrier. She is stocky but looks like she will have short stumpy legs and may not grow past 25 to 30 pounds. Ella is your typical puppy who loves to run and play with all of her friends and is even well-acquainted with the cat! She has been working in crate training, potty training, and leash training but still needs some help with all. Interested in becoming a forever home for Ella?
