Meet Miller – The Resilient, Happy-Go-Lucky Pup SOO Ready for His Best Chapter Miller’s story started with heartbreak - but he’s proof that good luck. resilience and love can turn everything around. At just 10 weeks old, this sweet boy found himself at a busy city shelter with moments left on the euthanasia list. Found by a fence, outside a home —skinny, road rash, black scuff marks & a broken leg. Miller did not give up—his adorable ears and loving personality charmed the right people + he got himself a golden ticket to Sarah’s!! He had the surgery he needed, healed beautifully and has spent the last few months in a loving foster home — learning what it means to be safe, happy, and loved Now @6 mo & 35 lbs, Miller is a happy-go-luckyfun-loving pup who adores other dogs, is crate trained, and he is is doing great with housebreaking!!  His past may have been rough, but his future is nothing but bright cutest mixed breed pal with the best ears sweet fun & silly older puppyvery nice personality neutered, utd vaccines & microchipped ___________fostered locally in MA -apply today!   please remember we are all volunteers &  incomplete applications will not be processed Apply to FOSTER or ADOPT today & get approved to bring a dog home. Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Buddy! Buddy is about 4.5 years old, 42 lbs, and he likely has some Boxer or terrier in his mix! Buddy was confiscated with an awful skin condition, and has been nursed back to health. He still has some hair loss on his back that may or may not grow back. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, cats, and other calm dogs. His foster says, `If you are wanting to be loved and adored, here is your chance. Buddy is the most loving, loyal and devoted dog a human could ever have. He Absolutely lives to love. He is calm and quiet but still has a bit of spunk to keep it fun. He is smart and already knows how to sit, shake, twirl and sit pretty and would love to learn more tricks to please his human especially if it involves treats as payment, Other than spending time with his human hanging on the couch, his second favorite thing to do is curl up on the passenger seat and take a long drive. He will occasionally pop his head up to look at some scenery then it`s back to donut position. 3rd on his list of favorite activities is chewing. He loves a Kong bone filled with something tasty. Adding in a fun leisurely walk or 2 throughout the day is a huge bonus. He will happily take his time smelling the smells and meeting new people along the way He is so ready to get and give the love and affection he craves and deserves.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on April 11th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Blitz! Blitz is a 6-year-old, 55 pound working dog. He's smart, food driven, and loves playing fetch. He sleeps through the night in his crate, is house trained, loves learning new tricks, and can be good with other dogs if they allow him to calmly greet them. Blitz would do best in an adult only home, with an owner who is active. He loves going on walks, runs, hikes and car rides. He can be wary of new people, and will need someone to continue to train him on confidence building. Blitz will walk in a heel when requested, he is a quick learner, super food motivated, and will LOVE his owners immensely. Update from foster Mom: With his people, he is the BEST dog, and he's good with dogs if they aren't pushy. He's a quick learner, a cuddle bug, and house-trained. He LOVES hiking with me in the woods, has an amazing recall, and loves playing fetch. I believe he would be the best dog on a farm, where he isn't forced to interact with strangers. I strongly believe that when he is off leash, he will choose to avoid strangers as opposed to confronting them. So why has this amazing already trained pup been with us so long? He doesn't do too well with strangers. We've gotten people interested, but seemingly they seem to ignore his "wary of new people" bit in his bio, and those who have applied want a friendly dog who is ok with meeting everyone. Are you someone who will allow Blitz to become comfortable with strangers slowly? Maybe an active outdoorsy introvert? Or okay with leaving your pup at home while you go out to be extroverted? Blitz is AMAZING. He just needs someone who understands he isn't too fond of people until he feels safe with them. This means not allowing others to approach him on walks and when out and about. No trips to Home Depot or TJ Maxx for this guy. He only needs outings with his new parents! P.S. This means he will take time to warm up to you too! If you are interested in finding out more about Blitz, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO-A-67 Blitz is being fostered in Grafton. The adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
