Story
As a rescue, We do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Forrest is a 8 month old Great Dane mix. He weighs 58#s and heartworm negative. He needs a slow paced scenery as he hasn’t had much human interaction. He was given to a family where he got away and after about 4 months was able to be caught. He did good(really good) with other dogs, brought out some playfulness. Cats didn’t bother him at all either. Now available for adoption more pictures upon request.

Story
Name: Yoshi Breed: Boxer mix Approximate Age: 2 years 8 months old Sex: Male Dogs: Yes ( His size or bigger ) Cats: NO Kids: Yes Yoshi loves kids and other dogs but they will need to be his size or larger. Yoshi is not a fan of smaller animals so no cats or smaller dogs for him. He will need a family committed to training as we do feel in a home committed we will do great. He has boxer energy and sometimes other dogs take it the wrong way. We would prefer a family with breed experience -Attention all puppies will need a family committed to basic obedience training. This includes but is not limited to: House, leash, behavioral & crate training. If there is a cat in the home, it is the adopters responsibility to get them acclimated to one another. We suggest contacting a trainer as soon as possible. All dogs are fixed and up to date on shots for adoption. Link to application : http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-services.html

Story
Harley is a pretty young dog who found herself in a shelter by no fault of her own. Harley is a 1 year-old Boxer mix with a beautiful, short brindle coat. She currently weighs around 37 pounds and may put on a few more pounds as she finishes maturing. She should remain a medium-sized adult dog.Harley is a medium energy girl whose crate training is in progress. She loves to go for walks on her leash and is doing well.Harley has aced her house training in a previous Southern foster home. Although it is important to remember that although she is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Although she presents as a shy girl, Harley does have a playful side and wants love and attention. She is ready to be an amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. All she needs is a forever home with someone who has the time, desire and patience to train, exercise and socialize her so that he can become an outstanding lifelong companion. She will need ample time to decompress in a new environment. She would love to continue her training with her family as she is a very smart lady! The adoption fee for Harley is $500. Story
Our Miss Daisy is a girl you must meet. She is as sweet as the day is long. Daisy will make an ideal canine companion that revolves in a life of being a spectator. She is a low-key girl who will enjoy spending time hanging out with her family. Some may refer to her as a coach potato, but she prefers the term couch warmer. Daisy is a 9-year-old boxer mix and will warm up a large section of the couch as she weighs around 80 pounds. She will grab attention based on her size and maintain that attention with her loving personality. When not hanging out with the adult or children folk, Daisy does well in the company of other dogs as well. She will be a welcomed addition to a family that has other dogs or children. If her destiny is to be the only dog, Daisy is A-OK with that too. She would love a family and home to call her own. Daisy has not been introduced to a feline since her time in rescue, so her acceptance of a feline companion is unknown at this time. We do know that her sweetheart status is going to delight all who meet her.Being a great house dog requires a skill set and Daisy is a rockstar with her house, crate and leash training. She is ready to move on in to demonstrate her skills to her forever family. She knows they will be proud of her. It is important to remember that although Daisy is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Dust off the welcome mat and get ready to invite Daisy inside. She is full of so much love that she will gladly reciprocate all that she receives and more. One day in the life of Daisy will be a lifetime of joyous memories that keep on giving. The adoption fee for Daisy is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
