You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet our sweet boy Sherman. He is a gentle soul that enjoys being around his people. Sherman likes to play for a short time. He would do best in a home with an older dog that is as relaxed as him. He does pick the dogs he is most comfortable around and he definitely wouldn't enjoy an energetic puppy. If you are interested in meeting Sherman, the first step is to go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:46 pm

Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, or Lisbon CT. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to make this amazing girl part of your family! APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 60#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash-trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Atticus is a friendly 7 month old puppy described as a “sweet big baby who loves to give kisses”. He weighs 58 pounds and probably still has some growing left to do. Atticus will be a super addition to an active family where he can be included in daily activities. He loves being with people, going on walks and frolicking in water. He would make a great hiking buddy. His foster mom says “Atticus is a good boy who loves life inside and outside! He plays hard and loves big. He adores my husband. He does great in his crate..sleeps all night. He walks well on the leash. He loves to play with other dogs and does best with bigger dogs because he is just a puppy and doesn’t appreciate his own size. He is patient and calm when I give him a bath.” Atticus is crate trained and nearly housebroken. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventives. If you think Atticus is the perfect boy to join your family, please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.

Name: Yoshi Breed: Boxer mix Approximate Age: 2 years 8 months old Sex: Male Dogs: Yes ( His size or bigger ) Cats: NO Kids: Yes Yoshi loves kids and other dogs but they will need to be his size or larger. Yoshi is not a fan of smaller animals so no cats or smaller dogs for him. He will need a family committed to training as we do feel in a home committed we will do great. He has boxer energy and sometimes other dogs take it the wrong way. We would prefer a family with breed experience -Attention all puppies will need a family committed to basic obedience training. This includes but is not limited to: House, leash, behavioral & crate training. If there is a cat in the home, it is the adopters responsibility to get them acclimated to one another. We suggest contacting a trainer as soon as possible. All dogs are fixed and up to date on shots for adoption. Link to application : http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-services.html

Available for adoption! Clyde has boundless energy, extraordinary stamina and a rich imagination. Here he is adopting his Navy Seal persona ready to take on his current nemesis, falling leaves. He can't wait to join you in heading to the woods.  Clyde with a family for a bit and wroye: It was a pleasure having Clyde be a part of our family it just unfortunately didn't work out for my brother who has special needs. We all thought he was old enough to handle this, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out as we expected. Clyde in all aspects is perfect. He was patient, calm, and very sweet. I hope he finds the best family for him. He deserves all the love and care in the world. Greetings, Clyde here! You should kno w I am all puppy and full of puppy energy and I am not a fan of the word "off", I need you to know I need your attention. But if you can help me understand that I can count on you I will be better. I have learned that I do not have too bark "me first" when meals are served as I know my bowl is coming if I just wait. I would love to have a fenced in yard (not electric) to run & play in with my furever family, kids, but not too small, would be a plus as we could wear each other out. So if you can open your heart & home I will promise you unconditional love! Please send an email to the Rescue (WOW.Rescue@yahoo.com) for information & an application for my adoption. Whitey's Only Wish is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. Donations are deductible as permitted by law.

Story
Meet Kobe! He was rescued from the side of the road by his foster, and he is just the sweetest boy! His foster family has been caring for him for about a year, but never intended to keep him forever. They have 5 kids ranging from 6 months old to 12 years old and they play with him and lay with him and he is always sweet and gentle with them. He’s never shown aggression to anyone at all. He’s crate trained and house trained, but he will dig under the fence if he doesn’t get enough exercise. He would thrive with more exercise, training and mental stimulation. He’s a very smart dog, but also quite strong so would do well with obedience training. Kobe is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 75 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.August 18, 2024, 5:27 am

Story
Captain here, looking for a dog to lead the way? Consider me! I am loyal, goofy, and lots of fun! I can be nervous until we know each other better, but if you lived on the cold/hot hard streets you may be a little wary with new people too. Now, my time at the rescue has really really improved my life and I am SO MUCH more social and outgoing! I am a big, beautiful reddish-tan Pittie/Labrador mix with a white racing stripe down the middle of my chest! Our small canine family came to God's Dogs Rescue in a pickle, a rag tag group of Labradors and one pregnant female! We came to this safe haven with just 3 dogs and now we're a whole lot more! But all of us are now spayed and neutered and READY for furever families who won't leave us to run the streets and starve, we actually have gotten a little chunky, lol and REALLY HAPPY!! As Captain, I'll ensure that you are properly lead and motivated to get your day to day life moving! Well, that's because I need daily walks but besides the point! Some basic information about Captain; he is male, Pitbull/Labrador Retriever mix, and is medium/large-sized boy, at about 60#. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
