Story
We'd like to re-introduce you to Winnie, a remarkable dog who's come a long way since we last introduced her a few months ago. If you remember she rescued by a Good Samaritan and had an an iliac fracture and MAJOR ear troubles. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community, we were able to provide her with the necessary medical care, granting her the gift of a pain-free life through total ear canal ablation surgery she needed. Now, the time has come for us to find Winnie her forever home. At around 5-6 years old, Winnie is not just any dog; she's a TOTAL SWEETHEART! She has been living with a foster and has shown great compatibility with their other large dog, Scottie. Day by day, she's making huge strides in meeting new people. Instead of being terrified, she now greets strangers with excitement. Her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. Winnie does reasonably well around cats but may need some separation when left alone. She's learning to understand them, but she’s not aggressive towards them. When it comes to children, we believe she would thrive best in a home with older kids, as her playfulness can be exuberant, akin to a bull in a China shop. She also can be a bit mouthy when she wants attention, but it’s more gentle and nothing major. For Winnie, a fenced-in yard would be ideal, she would thrive in an active home and one that can continue nurturing her newfound confidence. Is that with you? If you are interested in potentially meeting Winnie, send us a message!

Story
My husband and I adopted Nash while living in Nashville in 2018. At the time we didn’t have any kids and could focus on Nash a lot more. He has been a great dog for 7 years and he is so patient and kind with our 2 year old. We are having another baby in January and it’s becoming too much with the dog to manage. We can’t have a fence at our home because of the HOA And Nash doesn’t get good exercise like he needs. Though it is a very hard decision because we love Nash deeply, We feel rehoming him is best for our family and for Nash at this time.

Story
Say hello to Merton! He is a 9+ year old Boxer mix who weighs about 43 pounds. Merton is a senior sweetie who still has plenty of zest for life! He is a social boy who enjoys meeting new people, but the thing he wants most is a new tennis ball. Once he gets a ball in his mouth he is quickly running around the room playing like a puppy again. After playtime is over, Merton is a lazy boy who will gladly nap the day away. He shows potential to live with another dog, but he can be very excited at first, so he needs a slow introduction so he can settle down a bit. Due to his social nature, he could live in a home with kids ages 10 and older. If Merton looks like the pup for you, stop in today to meet this wonderful senior sweetheart!

Story
Meet Revere, a 5-year-old Boxer/Terrie mix who’s ready to charm his way into your heart with his lovable quirks and resilience. Revere’s journey to us began after a summer thunderstorm, leaving him in need of medical care. Underweight and nursing a fractured right rear leg, this courageous adventurer has proven himself to be a fighter with a goofy grin that’s impossible to resist. Revere also sports a distinctive head tilt, which has been diagnosed as idiopathic meaning its exact cause remains a mystery. Despite extensive testing ruling out common issues like ear infections and vestibular disease, this adorable tilt has become Revere’s signature look. It doesn’t slow him down one bit; instead, it only adds to his charm! He may not look like your average dog due to his special needs, but this spirited guy takes it all in stride and is one of the happiest dogs in our care! Revere’s ideal home will be one that understands his unique needs. His medical conditions may require ongoing care, and we’re happy to discuss his journey in detail with you. He’s an affectionate, people-loving pup who thrives on attention and praise. While his heart is big, his social skills with other dogs aren’t quite there yet, so Revere will need to be the only pet in the home. This leggy, slanty walker is ready to share his zest for life with a family that will embrace his quirks and provide him the love and care he deserves. Are you ready to give Revere his happily ever after? Reach out to us to learn more about this one-of-a-kind guy!

Story
Archie is a pitty mix. He is about 3 years old. We rescued him as a young pup from a hoarding environment. He has many environment triggers and can be very reactive. We have tried many different ways to help him with his fears but just don't have the resources anymore. He is afraid of people and will need someone who will be patient with him. He will nip at people but has not actually bitten anyone. That doesn't mean he won't bite if he is afraid. He has recently become more dog aggressive. He had been to dog daycare a few times a month for the past year to help with socializing but has now been labeled a "no play" because he picks at the other dogs and is no longer allowed to go. He is cage trained and housebroken. He is muzzle trained and knows a few commands like sit, come, shake. I am hoping there is someone out there that is trained in aggressive behavior and can help him so he doesn't have to be put down. He is up to date on rabies.
