We'd like to re-introduce you to Winnie, a remarkable dog who's come a long way since we last introduced her a few months ago. If you remember she rescued by a Good Samaritan and had an an iliac fracture and MAJOR ear troubles. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community, we were able to provide her with the necessary medical care, granting her the gift of a pain-free life through total ear canal ablation surgery she needed. Now, the time has come for us to find Winnie her forever home. At around 5-6 years old, Winnie is not just any dog; she's a TOTAL SWEETHEART! She has been living with a foster and has shown great compatibility with their other large dog, Scottie. Day by day, she's making huge strides in meeting new people. Instead of being terrified, she now greets strangers with excitement. Her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. Winnie does reasonably well around cats but may need some separation when left alone. She's learning to understand them, but she’s not aggressive towards them. When it comes to children, we believe she would thrive best in a home with older kids, as her playfulness can be exuberant, akin to a bull in a China shop. She also can be a bit mouthy when she wants attention, but it’s more gentle and nothing major. For Winnie, a fenced-in yard would be ideal, she would thrive in an active home and one that can continue nurturing her newfound confidence. Is that with you? We are accepting applications for our sweet girl, Lorelai. She was a pull from Memphis Animal Services, on September 21, 2022. When she came to us she weighed 26lbs & was heartworm positive, She is with a foster who was getting her through her first few critical months, but still has her. She is more than ready for her furever love!! She is completely house trained, and is a very well behaved house guest. She loves all people, though she is more comfortable with her doggie friends who are more on the chill side. She has gone through her heartworm treatment, over 6 months ago. She is extremely sweet, despite all of the horrors that she endured before coming into our rescue.

Shades is a velvety little nugget of a girl. She is super sweet and playful, once you gain her trust. Shades is a great dog! She is shy and the shelter is a very scary place for her, but once she warms up to you she is the most affectionate dog. She likes to sit on top of you! No personal space with this girl! She is a couch potato but will get the zoomies occasionally. She loves to run and play in the yard! She has sadly been euth listed, but has spent a great deal of time in the office, meeting everyone who comes into the shelter. She is about 2 years old & around 40lbs. We can only pull her with an approved foster or adopter. She will visit our trainer for an assessment once we are able to pull her.
