Story
It's time for  a very special introduction....our sweet, special boy Samson, or as his foster family calls him... Scooter &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Scoot came to the rescue in February of 2023 as a puppy. He's an extra special guy with some extra special needs.  He's mostly paralyzed in the back end and is also incontinent...but let us tell you, that doesn't slow him down one bit! He is silly and playful and extra sweet.  Upon entering his foster home, Scoot started hydrotherapy, which has helped him immensely. He's able to use his back legs some but mostly scoots around and still needs a wheelchair for walks and outings.  In addition, Scooter went to a neurologist in Columbus so we could figure out what caused this and if it was fixable. We got our answer pretty quickly... Neosporosis.  Neospora is a parasite that was passed to him in utero from his mom. It paralyzes muscles. He started antibiotics immediately to kill the parasite and keep it from doing further damage. We can't fix Scoot, he is how he is...which is PERFECT!  Scooter is almost finished with his antibiotics, but still takes daily meds to help with his urinary incontinence, probiotics, and a joint supplement.  He is loved beyond measure in his foster home, even though he's  a little "extra." However, the time has come to let him spread his wings and fly in his forever home &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Samson is great with other digs, kids and cats. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Story
Hi, I'm Bubba. I am a boxer/pit mix and I'm around 9 years old. I weigh between 60-65 pounds and would be your next lap cuddle buddy if you let me. I love belly scratches and ear massages. I currently live with two little kids and they play all over me. I have had play dates with other dogs and love to run around with them. Smaller dogs are better as I am not so sure about larger dogs. I enjoy being outside and running around. I love to go on walks but need a little training on the leash. I am a sucker for dog biscuits/treats and happily will sit, shake, and lay down to receive them. Due to my past, I have separation anxiety so someone who is around a lot or works from home would be ideal. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Hi my name is Lyle.  I am the hap hap happiest pup you will ever meet.  My tail is always going on my wiggle butt.  Even when I know that I am being naughty, I will give you a tail wagging smile.  I love to play with my brother, foster siblings, kids and new friends.  I am a foodie and love to taste everything.  I am very smart and love to explore. I am working on potty training but do my business when I go outside.  I am good in my kennel after I settle down but I would much rather be with my people.  I would love to have a furever family so apply now and we will have a great summer.  Petfinder is having issues uploading photos of pets. Bio for Harlan: If you are looking for a distinguished gentleman,Harlan is your dog. He is a sweet senior boxer who was rescued from a high kill shelter in KY. Don’t let his grey face fool you though. He loves to go on long walks, and even enjoys running with his foster mom. He gets along well with other dogs and kids. He loves his humans, and prefers to sit on your lap. He’s very good in his crate but will also sleep all night in your bed if you let him. He is the goodest boy and will make a wonderful addition to any family. Petfinder is having difficulty displaying photos. Please go to our website to view photos. Story
My teenage kids picked this lovable boy up when he ran across the road. He climbed right in the car very sweet boy. Is fixed sicsa could not locate his owner appears as though he was feed well but not an inside dog. Whoever had him did not care for him like a dog needs. He's been dewormed and washed thoroughly as he was covered in fleas. Hes missing some hair we have been putting moisturizer on to help regrow his hair. Super chill boy mostly gets along with our pit she loves the bigger dog to play with. He loves to chill and snuggles with my teen. He needs a good home where he wont be left outside.
