Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bones was found on a back road in November. It was clear she had been dumped. She had recently been spayed and was estimated to be about 1.5 years old. She is a Boxer Pitbull mix. They believe she is more Boxer than Pit, with her underbite being prominent. She is a very energetic, playful girl but also very anxious. She does not like to be left alone, but she has been semi-crate trained. She does better in a smaller crate rather than having space to move about. She will be your best friend and protector, though she isn't aggressive towards people. She has not been friendly with our other dog, but she is not aggressive either. She has been great with our five children, but as I said, she is high-energy and would probably do best in a home without very small children. Our youngest is five. She is house-trained if she is being watched, if not, she is questionable. She loves to chew and is great at fetch! She has been dewormed (as a precaution) and treated for fleas.

Story
Looking for an older pup to share your home with? Meet Ricardio! This sweet boy came to us as a stray, and we're not sure why no one came looking for his handsome lad. But Ricardio doesn't let that get him down, he's just as spritely and happy as ever! Ricardio is in good shape for an older middle aged pup, and aside from his handsome salt-and-pepper face you'd never know his age. He is out of all that high energy puppy stage, but more than happy to accompany you for a walk or a lap around the yard. Ricardio is ready to find his retirement home and a family he can give all his love to! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Ricardio home. If you are interested in meeting Ricardio, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 75 Age: 7yrs 7mths 1wks

Story
Meet this incredible survivor! Found in Tipton County, this sweet boy was skin and bones, hairless, and overlooked by so many. We couldn’t leave him behind, and he’s come so far—from 17 to 36 lbs! With love, warmth, and plenty of food, his personality has blossomed. He adores other dogs, all people, his crate, and especially toys and sweaters. He’s house-trained, food-motivated, and ready for his forever home. Could it be with you? Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Freddie!! This handsome fellah is ready to wiggle his way right into your family to find a family to grow up with. He has entered our DASH Prison Training Program where he is learning his puppy manners and basic commands. He is working on (& getting pretty good with) sit, stay, down, wait & leave it. Freddie is great on a leash, is (mostly) housebroken in the prison environment but will need continued training & encouragement to get these down while he acclimates to his new home. He will go into his crate but whines if he is left alone because he'd rather be with his person. He likes playing with the other dogs but has not been cat tested. His handler says Freddie is a happy, playful, affectionate, energetic little boy. With all that puppy energy a meet and greet is recommended especially with younger children. He'd love to come home with you, apply today! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 2:35 pm
