Story
Scout is a brown boxer mix who is also very sweet and full of energy. We rescued her when she was 8 weeks old and she is now 5 years old. Scout was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 8 months old that is easily managed with an oral medication on an as needed basis, but she does not let that hold her back in life. She has been through obedience school where she learned great leash skills. She enjoys going for short walks but definitely thrives more indoors. She also has done very well with our one year old son, but does not like her paws to be touched, so she will often just run away from him. Scout absolutely loves attention from people and really likes playing with other dogs.

Story
Bucko the Boxer mix is just a gentle soul looking for a place to call his own where he will be cherished and loved for the best friend that he is. He is a real ladies man but loves attention from anyone who will give him a butt scratch. Bucko has earned a spot as an official member of our Welcome Wagon since is so dog neutral and has a very calm demeanor. Great on a leash, current on shots, great with other dogs, crate trained, perfect gentlemen in the house, interested in cats but easily redirected. This boy is the total package. Bucko’s Story: Bucko is baaaack! Bucko got his freedom ride on 1/21/2025. We first met Bucko in August 2024 when caring citizens reported an injured dog. We took Bucko to the vet to have him fixed up but unfortunately the owner would not surrender him to our care. Fast forward to today when another caring citizen called animal control to pick up a dog that was chained up behind an abandoned house. His microchip led him straight to us.

Story
Reese is a very good girl! She is sweet and affectionate but needs lots of walks and stimulation. She is bored easily, which leads to destructive behavior. She is potty-trained and knows how to tell you when she needs to go. She likes to find a more secluded place and return to that place each time. She sleeps through the night and is comfortable inside and outside her crate. She is still very young and needs additional training. She is very shy around other dogs and becomes paralyzed just seeing them. It can make for very long walks if you are in a dog-friendly neighborhood. She knows the commands sit and come but has yet to master any additional commands. Ideally, she goes to a home with a yard to nap and play during the day. She likes napping in the sun on the patio, but unfortunately, we don't have a yard to play in. She does not do well with cats, and I would recommend that she be the only pet in the house, at least initially. She has a crate, bed, toys, etc., to accompany her.

Story
Meet Blue! He is about 8 years old and is a great dog. We think is is likely a mix of boxer and German Shepard. He is very unique in that he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is very loving. He is athletic and loves to play with balls and toys but is also perfectly fine being lazy and cuddling! He is great on a leash for walking or on a run. Our family circumstances have changed and we are looking for a loving home for Blue.

Story
Meet Bruno! This sweet, energetic boy is full of personality and always ready for fun. He loves tug-of-war, sunbathing, and curling up for snuggles after a nice walk. Bruno is an affectionate companion who brings so much joy. His journey hasn’t been easy—he was rescued after being found locked in a kennel during a severe ice storm with little food or water. My parents nursed him back to health, and after my father’s passing, we took him in as fosters. While we adore him, we’ve realized we’re not the best fit to provide the structure he needs to thrive. He has so much love to give, and we know the right home is out there. If you think you might be the perfect match, we’d love to chat!

Story
DeeO'gee is looking for a New home, please help. He is an absolutly a goofball who loves kids and other animals. Except squirrels, 🤣. We are unfortunately having to down size our home due to the economy and his breed is not accepted in apartment complexes and it's devastating to our family and his best friend (our son) as you can see from the pictures added he is silly, loving and just overall a great addition to any family. He's an amazing dog, super cuddle bug, loving and happy. Great on walks and loves to sun bath on nice days. He's an inside dog for the most part. Has to have his chew toys and ropes ( as most pitbulls). He's a big happy baby.

Calob was dumped at an intersection 2 YEATRS AGO. He has lived alone and stray until this May. He was finally trapped and is now learning how to be a regular dog again. He is extremely housebroken.
