Story
Pearl is such a sweet girl who’s looking for a family of her own. She is very smart and has good recall. She loves the outdoors and being outside, especially water! Pearl is kennel trained and house trained. She can sleep through the night with no issues. She is super cuddly. She loves sleeping next to you and having her tummy scratched. She’s a very good walker, doesn’t pull. She does well with a 4ft fence, Doesn’t jump, doesn’t try to chase squirrels, she just loves being outside. She seems okay with dog-savvy cats. She can be dog selective but she just might need very slow introductions. She doesn’t seem to mind dogs walking by. She would do best with adults only or older children. Give this girl a chance so she can nap with you while watching TV. Pearl is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application on the website. Mscrescue.org

Story
Introducing Sofie Lou, the distinguished 10-year-old female brindle Olde English Bulldog with a taste for the finer, more relaxed side of life. Sofie Lou is a connoisseur of comfort, finding her bliss on soft couches, indulging in serene naps, soaking up the sun's rays while tanning, and savoring her favorite snacks. However, Sofie Lou has a clear set of dislikes that match her strong personality: cats top the list, not once but thrice, indicating a less-than-fond feeling towards her feline counterparts. She's also known to be selective about her canine companions and prefers the company of those who share her laid-back attitude. Boisterous children and overly enthusiastic visitors who encroach on her lawn are met with the same discernment. Sofie Lou's distinguished tastes and clear boundaries make her an unforgettable character with a royal demeanor, commanding respect and adoration in equal measure.

Surrendered by her owner to a shelter, she’s now in foster care in Fishers, Indiana, and thriving as she waits for her forever family. ✨ About Gertie • Personality: Playful, affectionate, and friendly. Gertie loves walks, fetch, and a little game of keep-away. At night, she’s a perfect lady, quietly curling up on the couch for some well-earned rest. • Kid-Friendly: She’s been great with small children she’s met and would be a wonderful family companion. • Other Pets: Gertie enjoys playing with her foster brother, Toby, though she’s a bit shy with his loud barks. She’d do best with calm dogs and no cats or small dogs due to unknown compatibility. ✨ Health & Training • House-trained and crate-trained. • Up to date on vaccinations. • Needs spaying and microchipping before adoption. Gertie is ready to start a new chapter with a loving family who will cherish her playful and sweet nature. Located in Indiana, she’s eagerly waiting for her forever home. Story
Meet Stewie My name is Stuart, but my friends call me Stewie. I'm a Pittie mix who is a little over 1 year old. I've been with my foster family for a few months now and am looking for a forever home of my own. My foster mom brought me to her home after meeting me because she felt really bad about the rough start I had to my life. You see, I was found by the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City's Outreach team in December. I'd been outside in the rain and cold over Christmas and I was skinny and scared. I wasn't sure if I could trust the humans who found me, but eventually I went along with them and was soon warm and safe and had food in my tummy. When my foster mom first brought me home with her, I was happy to find there were dogs in her home but I needed to make the male human in the home work for my trust, lol. He hand fed me 3 meals a day for a few days before I finally thought he was okay. I must keep some secrets to myself, but my foster parents quickly learned I wasn't treated very well by the humans who had me before. I don't want to tell them everything and make them sad, but they do know I was abused. I wasn't afraid of things in the house, but if someone made sudden movements I'd flinch. I'm doing a LOT better with that now thanks to all the love and patience from my foster family. It takes me some time to warm up to new humans, men mostly, but as soon as I know you're okay, I'm the bestest friend you could ever want! I give nice kisses, and will roll over for belly rubs. I do make my foster parents laugh a lot especially because of my "Super Top Secret Shoe Relocation Program". It's a mystery to everyone else except for me, but sometimes I think my foster parents' shoes or slippers need to be relocated to different areas of the house. I think it's super funny when they wake up in the morning and can't find their slippers! I also talk a LOT which sometimes frustrates me because my foster parents don't know what I'm trying to tell them. They think I should probably live in a house and not an apartment because I do talk so much. I like to go on walks, and I love learning new stuff. My foster mom has taught me how to sit, lay down, look at her, come here, and a few other things. I like it when she spends time with me teaching me stuff, and think I'd like a human who will continue doing things like that with me. I've put a lot of thought into this, and I think my ideal forever home will be one that's laid back but with humans who want to take me on walks every day. My BFF in my foster home is Soda Pop. We're pretty close in age and have lots of fun wrestling and playing and going on walks together. I don't need to live with another dog though because sometimes I just want to hang out and Soda just wants to play non-stop, which can be kinda annoying sometimes (but don't tell him I said that). If you're looking for a smart, handsome, affectionate guy who enjoys long walks and new adventures I'm your guy.

Story
My Dad and Best Friend passed away, and l'm looking for my forever home! Healthy Male 3 yr. old Boxer Mix. Neutered. Vaccines are Up-To-Date till Oct. 2025. Super friendly, and love to give kisses! Not fond of little dogs, and little children that take my toys. Needs a slow introduction to new doggies over time. Loves to be the center of attention. I don't like cats, and get a little nervous during thunder storms. I would love an energetic family that plays! Since my Dad passed away in Oct. 2024 and all the changes, I have had some separation anxiety and will follow you around the house and look for you when you’re gone but will calm down after awhile. Will let you gently know when I have to poop and potty outside, and come right back in on my own. Like's car rides! Trainable, and very smart!! Needs a slow introduction to new doggies over time. Sometimes thinks he is a lap dog and loves snuggles!

Story
Dozer is a large Boxer will stick to you like velcro once he trusts you! We have to rehome because when our senior dog died in the spring the dynamic changed between the remaining 3 dogs & his dog siblings have started ganging up/attacking him. They have been separated w/gates, allowed supervised play, & training over last 6 months with minimal overall improvement in the dogs interactions. Dozer is not the problem- he is an awesome loving/ sweet/ silly dog - but he is now also scared of dogs. He may need to be the only dog or he MAY be ok with only one other FEMALE dog but they will need to meet first. He needs a home where his people are working from home or retired. He knows basic commands & is crate trained but we work from home and he has never left been alone OR in a crate longer than 3 hours. He needs a yard & a family who will provide consistent play time. Must be willing to meet first to ensure good fit. We are looking for the BEST forever fit for him NOT the fastest.
