Story
Mojo is a four-year-old male pitbull terrier. He was adopted at age two from a local shelter after being rescued off the street two weeks prior. Hes a very enthusiastic and energetic dog. Very clingy and affectionate with his owners. He loves to cuddle and mostly wants to spend time directly beside you. He does have behavioral issues. Frequent accidents in the house. he's prone to frequent loud barking, and chewing. He is very emotional and will throw tantrums. He is surprisingly good with cats. Though he does bark at pretty much anything else that moves. Honestly he probably just needs more exercise and more attention than I can currently give him in which case I believe he'd be a fantastic companion.

Story
Cassie is a goofy girl with energy to spare. She loves to play, and has the silliest expressions. She loves toys, other animals, and cozy beds. She is 45 pounds, and is a Bull Terrier mix. Cassie is very food motivated and eager to continue learning her basic skills and household manners. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above,) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster care: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MARQ/Dog

Story
A Sweet Bull Terrier Looking for a Fresh Start Gertie is a 3-year-old tricolor Bull Terrier with a heart full of love. Surrendered by her owner to a shelter, she’s now in foster care in Fishers, Indiana, and thriving as she waits for her forever family. ✨ About Gertie • Personality: Playful, affectionate, and friendly. Gertie loves walks, fetch, and a little game of keep-away. At night, she’s a perfect lady, quietly curling up on the couch for some well-earned rest. • Kid-Friendly: She’s been great with small children she’s met and would be a wonderful family companion. • Other Pets: Gertie enjoys playing with her foster brother, Toby, though she’s a bit shy with his loud barks. She’d do best with calm dogs and no cats or small dogs due to unknown compatibility. ✨ Health & Training • House-trained and crate-trained. • Up to date on vaccinations. • Needs spaying and microchipping before adoption. Gertie is ready to start a new chapter with a loving family who will cherish her playful and sweet nature. Located in Indiana, she’s eagerly waiting for her forever home. Story
Meet Pearl, a cuddly, goofy, and playful pup looking for her forever home! She’s dog-friendly with a slow introduction and okay with dog-savvy cats. Pearl loves her walks and outdoor adventures, and she’s especially fond of water – she loves playing with the hose! Whether she’s splashing around or just enjoying a sunny day, she’s always up for some fun. When it’s time to relax, Pearl loves curling up on the couch, getting tucked in with blankets, and soaking up all the love. She also enjoys staring out the window, soaking in the sun on her face, and watching the world go by. After all that fun, she’s all about napping and may just snore a little, but it’s the sweetest sound! Pearl is kennel and potty trained, and she’s calm when left alone—no chewing or tearing things up. She would do best in a home without kids, where she can enjoy her peaceful moments. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, laid-back companion, Pearl is ready to steal your heart! Pearl is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application on the website. Mscrescue.org/adopt Pearl is eligible for our Foster to Adopt Program.

Story
Introducing Sofie Lou, the distinguished 10-year-old female brindle Olde English Bulldog with a taste for the finer, more relaxed side of life. Sofie Lou is a connoisseur of comfort, finding her bliss on soft couches, indulging in serene naps, soaking up the sun's rays while tanning, and savoring her favorite snacks. However, Sofie Lou has a clear set of dislikes that match her strong personality: cats top the list, not once but thrice, indicating a less-than-fond feeling towards her feline counterparts. She's also known to be selective about her canine companions and prefers the company of those who share her laid-back attitude. Boisterous children and overly enthusiastic visitors who encroach on her lawn are met with the same discernment. Sofie Lou's distinguished tastes and clear boundaries make her an unforgettable character with a royal demeanor, commanding respect and adoration in equal measure.
