Link is a 5 1/2 year old strikingly handsome English Bull Terrier. He follows the energy of his family and can be just as content snuggling in front of the TV as hiking in the woods. Link really enjoys other canine company, however he should remain with canines close to his size or larger and he should not reside with any cats. Link travels in the car and crates like a dream. He is very “go with the flow” and loves simply being included in everyday life with his family. He is easy to please and is very food motivated, never turning down a treat. He’s very expressive with his beautifully large nose and is known for giving nose boops as he walks by to express his love. Links seems to enjoy older children, men and women alike. He does easily startle with sudden movements and noises and could use some work on his confidence, however his demeanor can change while he’s in his own yard if a car or person goes by and suddenly he finds his voice. Link will do best in a quieter home with a patient person or family who understands that he is a fairly serious dog who needs time to trust those around him. He would likely appreciate a friendly and confident canine companion to also share life with. Link has some occasional joint stiffness that takes a little time to come out of. Spend enough time around Link and you’ll soon see that he has a very unique way of sitting. Hi! My name is Maggie, and I'm here at the Adams County SPCA. My previous owner couldn't take care of me any longer, so she said I should stay with these nice people until I find a new home. They've been really nice to me, so I don't have any complaints.I had a bad eye when I was younger, so the vet fixed it. But guess what happened - it popped back out! The vet here at the shelter fixed it again, so hopefully that won't happen again. They called it a cherry eye because it was red like a cherry. It didn't really hurt, but it didn't look very nice, so most people like to get them fixed.I'm about 2 1/2 years old. I seem to be housebroken - at least I haven't had any accidents since I've been here. Sometimes I get to be the office dog because I'm so well-behaved. One time I got in trouble for taking a toy out of the bin under the lady's desk, but I couldn't help it - it looked really fun. I have typical "Bulldog Skin", which is delicate and reactive to almost everything, so I will probably need to continue the treatment and medication they started me on at the shelter. The medicine I take is on the pricey side, but then again, I'm a Bulldog, so that shouldn't be shocking to Bulldog people.I'd like to go to a home without any other dogs in it. I'm not a big fan of other dogs, and I'd just rather be the only child. and get all the attention. The same goes for cats- not a fan.So to all you Bulldog fans - the dog applications are available on the shelter website! Get yours in right away so you don't miss out on me! The girls said it shouldn't take long for them to find me a perfect home - let's make sure they're right!
