Story
This beautiful kitten was saved from the Altadena fire area. She and Lake were found in the same place. Sadly, an adult cat, perhaps Mama, and another kitten had not survived. Lake and Mariposa were dirty but otherwise healthy. Mariposa is about 3-4 months old and safe in his foster home.

Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Meet Lala! Background: owned a warehouse in Los Angeles. He had trapped her to go to the shelter. We didn't know if she was friendly or feral but offered to keep her out of the shelter system where she wouldn't have fared well if feral. She turned out to be a very grateful little girl who is vocal and likes to tell you all about it. She does have a little bit of a "calico side" to her. Lala is very playful, full of curiosity, great with other cats, comes when she is called, loves pets and doesn't mind being held. She's such a wonderful little girl, we just love her. Kids: Does best with older, mature kids (due to calico side) Cats: She does great with all cats & kittens Dogs: She's never been around dogs * Date of Birth: April 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Tabico (Calico+Tabby Mix) * Eye Color:Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Tested FELV/FIV Results: Negative/Negative * Microchipped: Found Animals * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Cullen * Ask About Our Adopt-A-Pair: it's a program designed to keep siblings & best friends together! ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Adoption applications receive priority over inquiries. * Adopt-A-Pet Inquiry Forms: To avoid any confusion, the inquiry form is a brief email form if you have questions. It does not start the adoption process. FACT: Did you know 80-90% of the cats in the shelters are from the streets? Please help support your local TNR (Trap.Neuter.Return.) groups who are on the streets making a difference by stopping the overwhelming number of litters being born. Please consider fostering with us to save more lives. Always remember to Sterilize....Don't Euthanize!

Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Sweet little Salt is one of our ultimate favorite girls! She was living at a Target on a parking lot with her mom, Target. A feeder had taken care of them for years, gotten them both fixed, found homes for their kittens and then never tried to find these girls their own homes off the streets. We met her through several calls for help from the concerned community. They were living under dumpsters and Target (the store) had threatened to remove them. We went and trapped in the rain to get these girls to safety. Target was several years older and we had to euthanize her due to a failing liver. Salt, however, is healthy and thriving. She needs a dental and a few teeth removed, but who wouldn't at her age? We will take care of this and have an appointment, but we really want her in a home asap and while we wait for her appointment. Salt is a wonderfully kind, gentle soul who loves belly rubs, lots of pets and a hammock. She loves buckets or boxes with fluffy blankets and you'll find her napping in the sunshine soaking up the rays. She does enjoy a good scratch on a tall, sisal post...but most of all, she really enjoys curling up next to you with an arm around her. We would love to find Salt a permanent home and/or a temporary foster so she can enjoy her senior years. She does not like dogs and is good with other cats as long as they're not dominant or alpha personalities. Salt is now: * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Test Results: *FELV Negative *FIV Negative * Microchipped * Flea Treated: Revolution * Dewormed: Droncit Triple Wormer * Litterbox Trained: Open Box * Litter Preference: All-Natural Unscented Litter * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
Cinnabon is a beautiful dilute Calico and a petite girl. Cinnabon was homeless and living in someone's backyard for years. It seemed someone had left her behind or abandoned her there. A kind neighbor was feeding her but nobody would bring her into their home. When the nice lady passed away, we knew Cinnabon would no longer have food security or safety. We moved quickly to bring her in and realized what a special girl she is! Cinnabon is so cute when she gets into a loaf and she loves for you to stroke her velvety soft fur and scratch her little ears and neck. She is vocal and comes to you when you call, especially for breakfast time! One of her favorite things is to play with the mouse teaser. She gets so excited to play chase! Cinnabon loves people and would love to be the only cat at the center of your attention. She is so ready to be in a warm home and part of a loving family. Born 2021. Learn more at: https://www.lifelineforpets.org/cinnabon.html.

Story
I adopted Ted Mosby from a shelter at 3 months old and now he is 3 years old. He is a friendly cat. He likes his general space but can be very affectionate. Takes long naps and enjoys to eat and sleep along when someone is present. He meows when he wants attention or when he’s hungry. He’s really smart even knows how to sit and shake. Can be very shy at first but once he’s comfortable he is the best friend you could ever ask for.

Story
Charlie is an 8 year old Domestic Short-hair cat. He is very sweet and a big cuddle bug. He has grown up around a small and medium sized dog. He loves attention and has no problem looking for pets to anyone who is willing to give them. He does have a diet that requires him to be on Urinary S/O food. I think he would be a loving addition to anyone's family who's ready to care for him.

Story
James is a very handsome 4-year-old, 16lb Tuxedo cat that came to our rescue as a small kitten. He was in very bad shape as his mom was from a feral colony. Due to James' condition, we waited some time before putting him up for adoption at 6 months. Being a bigger boy when he went up for adoption he has not had much interest. Now at 4, he is still looking for his forever home. James can be shy at 1st and takes a while to warm up to people. Once he does, he is the sweetest boy around. He loves to cuddle but on his terms. Mostly keeps to himself, but as soon as he knows you are near he will be meowing and rolling around for scratches and pets. He will tolerate being picked up although it is not a favorite activity. James is very playful, especially if you want to play with his favorite feather toys, but will play fetch too. Food and snacks are his favorite things in the whole wide world. And, he is used to being in a harness. This cutie is fostered with cats and dogs. Does not mind other cats. A playful one may get him to play. With dogs, he will not be in the same room with them or if by chance they are, will stay away. He is looking for a patient home that will give him time to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. If he sounds like the right cat for you, don’t hesitate to contact us at heartandhomerescueorg@gmail.com.
