Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Baby is a very sweet, low energy girl who likes to get lots of pets. If she wants some attention, a gentle nose nudge is her first way of showing you, and if that doesn't work, a tiny paw lightly touching your arm is another polite way to ask for pets. She does not use her claws when she asks, and she's fine walking away if you have other things to do.  Baby likes pets, but she does not like to be brushed. As an older gal, her fur is a little bit rough looking, but it's also pretty short so it doesn't bother her.   Baby also likes to play with a bit of fabric dangling off the end of a stick.   Baby is from an owner surrender with her sister. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Poppet has really come out of her shell-click here to see video. She is still cautious but asks for pets and plays with us humans now. She is such a cutie and is a tiny bit chatty.  She is quite funny and does little meows to get your attention. She is totally a night owl and spends her time investigating everything in the house. She tries to cuddle with my cats, so a playmate would be probably be very helpful for her.  She still doesn’t like to be picked up, but will let you pick her up for a couple seconds before she wants to get down. She does like to be petted and will expose her belly for rubs. She’s just unsure and needs some experience in the world.  She is such a cutie and worth the investment!   Poppet is a Stray Surrender from Nowthen, MN. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Click here to watch a video of Poppet.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 6, 2025, 9:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there! I'm Gretchen, and I'm almost two years old! If you're looking for the sweetest, most affectionate kitty, you’ve found her. I *love* sitting on laps, being near you, getting petted and scratched—especially behind my ears. I also have a favorite spot by the window, where I curl up on my cozy bed and watch the world go by. It’s one of my happiest places.   I spent my whole life with a lovely lady who took great care of me, but she couldn't look after me anymore. Now, I'm looking for a new home—could it be with you? I might need to meet other pets slowly, since I was always an only pet although my foster’s three cats and I are learning to get along pretty well.  But I promise I’ll be your sweetest, most loving companion!   I can’t wait to meet you and hopefully find my forever home! Gretchen is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *Bonded with Birdie*Hello, my name is Smores and I'm a beautiful cat, half tabby/half calico. I was originally an outdoor cat.  A nice lady noticed that I was pregnant and had babies outside in the winter. She decided to take me inside with my babies to safety. I'm a good mom and I would be happy to be adopted with one of my children, Birdie . If you adopt us both, you can adopt me at a discounted price of $25 through our Mom and Me program. My son Birdie and I are pretty close! I would do best in a quiet home where I can relax and let my personality come out. I'm used to living inside now and like that I have shelter and love. I do love to be pet and chin scratches are my favorite. I like to lay in the sun or on my cat tower. I also still cuddle with my kittens. I'm looking for a forever home; is that with you? I'd love to meet you!  Smores is from a stray surrender with 3 kittens. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
Meet Sugar Pie!  This sweet girl is cautious at first but once she warms up she just wants to play!  A typical cat, she likes to climb inside bags or boxes (anyone a shopoholic?).  Sugar Pie likes to hunt things in motion – feathers, brooms, strings….even match box cards (anyone a shopoholic with small children?).  When Sugar Pie has exhausted herself hunting, she will curl up in her bed amongst her blankets and take a lil cat nap. Sugar Pie would make a wonderful addition to any family.  Don’t miss out on her! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2205550##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spot & Little Girl are local owner surrenders due to the owners passing and family is unable to continue care long term for them. Spot is white with calico spots female. She may do best with her 'sister' Little Girl as they have been together for years, but it is not a requirement. She does not like to be held but will sit on your lap. She is friendly. Loves to be brushed.  She may hide initally as she adjust to a new home. She is more dominant than the other cats in the home but was able to integrate with 2 others over time that were younger than her.  They are good with cat savvy dogs and she doesn't mind kids as long as they don't try to carry her around.  If she sounds like the purfect addition to your home, please apply online https://mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 4, 2025, 12:08 pm

Story
Meet Elemenopie! Are you ready to meet a truly unique kitty? Elemenopie is an adult female Tortie with a personality as big as her frame (and she’s one LARGE cat—just naturally huge, not overweight!). She’s the queen of relaxation and spends her days lounging around and gazing out the window, keeping an eye on the world outside. This sweet girl is a people-lover at heart. She’s content with the simple things in life: a cozy spot by the window, a steady supply of food, and the love of her favorite human. While she may need a little warm-up time to adjust to other cats, once she’s settled, she’s happy to coexist and generally just ignores them.Elemenopie is the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, affectionate feline friend. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl, she’s ready to bring her gentle, loving presence into your life.Paperwork? She’s got it all covered—she’s ready to go!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I'm Duchess! I'm a smart and resourceful kitty who's settling into the indoor life beautifully. I love having a cozy spot to call my own, tasty food to enjoy, and a warm bed to snuggle in. My favorite time of day is when my foster mom sits on the floor to pet me—I’ll even rub against her leg to ask for more attention! I’m a fan of scratching posts and always use my litterbox like the well-mannered lady I am. While I’m still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy at first, I’m sure to blossom with patience and a calm environment. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but maybe that will change over time as I continue to build my confidence. I’d love to have another cat friend in my forever home—they help me feel more secure and show me the ropes. I haven’t met kids yet, so I’d probably do best in a quieter home where I can adjust at my own pace. If you think we’d be a good match, I’d love to meet you! Fill out an application, and let’s see if I could be your perfect companion. Duchess is from local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Harry & Harriet – A Pair of Shy, Sweet Siblings Harry and Harriet are a dynamic duo of 1-year-old siblings who joined the rescue as strays, and they're looking for a home where they can blossom at their own pace. These two are still warming up to the world around them, especially with new people, and often prefer to hide when there are strangers in the house. But once they feel safe, their unique personalities shine through. Harriet is an independent spirit who loves her routine, especially when it comes to mealtime. She’s a fan of wet food and can get a bit impatient when it's not served fast enough—don’t let her shyness fool you; she knows what she wants! Harriet enjoys her space but will definitely show you affection once she’s comfortable with you. Harry, on the other hand, is a cuddle lover! He’s often found cozying up on his human’s lap at the most unexpected times, like during a quiet bathroom break. Harry has a quirky love for drinking water straight from the bathroom faucet, and he’s always up for snuggling in bed. While he prefers kibble over wet food, he’s just as sweet as can be. Harry will let you know when he’s had enough of petting with a gentle swat or a love bite, but it’s all part of his charm! Harry and Harriet are currently living in a home with several other cats and two small dogs, and while they may be a bit shy at first, they are friendly with their furry companions. With patience and love, these two sweethearts are sure to grow into the affectionate companions you’ve been looking for. If you’re looking for a pair of cats who will make you smile with their quirky behaviors and sweet moments, Harry and Harriet might be just the right fit for you!       Meet Harry, the shy yet sweet silver tabby who’s making great strides toward becoming the loving companion he was always meant to be! Harry has come a long way since his days as a stray. Though he's still a bit cautious around new faces, Harry is slowly learning to trust and is becoming more confident in his foster home. He’s now been given full access to the house and has found comfort in following his foster mom around as she does her morning chores, like tending to the litter boxes. He’s even learned to curl up on the bed — that is, when the dog lets him! With his soft silver-gray fur, a little sprinkle of white on his belly and paws, and those big, curious eyes, Harry is an endearing and quiet kitty. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like playing with the resident cats and discovering new spots to explore. While he’s still shy around strangers and will often disappear when new people arrive, Harry’s progress with his foster mom has been wonderful. He’s starting to enjoy the gentle touch of a pet and can often be found snuggled up under the blankets, soaking in the warmth and comfort of his safe space. Harry is a curious soul who thrives in quieter environments. With a little patience and plenty of love, he’ll continue to grow and blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. If you have a cozy corner and a tender heart to offer, Harry might just be the perfect addition to your family. Ready to give him the time and space he needs to truly flourish? Harry is waiting for a home to call his own!     If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
