Story
Hey there, this is Lucy! She had a rough start as a street rescue kitten, but after getting cared for and cleaned up, she has been enjoying the good life for over ten years now. I inherited her from my mother who was retired and cared for her constantly as I've tried to do ever since she passed, but work and life changes are demanding a big move soon to a place I cannot take her sadly and I want to be sure she has a loving home before I go. She grew up around few animals so she is not the most fond of them, but I have seen her integrate with roommates before(another cat) so, while difficult, it may not be impossible. However she *loves* people and will crawl into about any lap and soak up all the attention, even newer people she's just met. So preferably I think a home where it's fairly quiet and just for her and her humans would be ideal. She's one of the most loving kitties and has no health issues outside of a little difficulty jumping as high as she used to.

Story
Taylor is a beautiful DSH Calico female born approximately 9/12/2021. Paging all Calico fans! Meet Taylor, the queen of sass and shoulder-perching extraordinaire! With a voice that could rival a diva and a passion for grooming her human subjects, she's always ready to make her presence known. Food-motivated and full of energy, she's a whirlwind of playful antics and unexpected nips. Trainable? Maybe. Entertaining? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a little sass and the occasional love bite!  Taylor enjoys watching the goings-on outside her foster room window. She also loves to snuggle up close at nap time. She prefers to drink water by finding a faucet with a drip, but she's never messy. She is very independent and low maintenance - good at keeping herself entertained.  According to her foster, Taylor is a bit of a nut - a funny girl with LOTS of purr-sonality! She is so entertaining, you can't help but fall in love with her! I mean, hey, in life you have to take the good with the "spaz", right? Taylor would do best in a home that's on the quiet side with a cat-savvy person and without young children. Taylor is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.January 9, 2025, 11:12 am

Story
Pajamas is a beautiful DSH calico female born approximately 7/29/2023. She has the prettiest big round eyes! Pajamas was a friendly neighborhood stray that gave birth to 4 precious kittens in the garage of a lady that had been feeding her. She was a wonderful mom and now her babies are big enough to venture out into the world and everyone is looking for their forever homes. Pajamas is timid, but very sweet. She like chin scritches, body pets, and belly rubs, but she’s 50/50 on head pets. She’s been very busy raising her babies and has played with them on occasion, but hasn’t engaged much with toys. Pajamas would do best in a quiet home where she can get her groove back now that those pesky kids are out of the nest. Pajamas is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
Orchid is a lovely DSH Calico female born approximately 5/12/2024. Orchid was rescued by a Good Samaritan who found her hanging around outside their house. They started feeding her, and then she just never left! She was eventually brought inside to foster with the hopes of finding her a forever home. Orchid is a really sweet scaredy-cat. She doesn’t like loud noises or kids. She takes a minute to warm up. She needs a loving home with less traffic just to relax and chill. She is hyper when she wants to be, but very playful. Orchid is fostered with another girl kitty, Cato, and they have become best friends. They love to play and groom each other. If they can get adopted together, that would be great!  Orchid is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.December 24, 2024, 10:40 am

Story
I found kadie as a kitten. She is about 5 years old now. She is a bit shy and will likely hide until she gets to know you. Once she is more comfortable she loves belly rubs and will come cuddle. My ex had her declawed and unfortunately her back paws didn't heal well and sometimes bother her. She is fixed. She would do well as an only pet. I do have another cat and a dog that she gets along with but she takes time to warm up to new animals. She is great with kids and never tries to bite or scratch anyone. Only rehoming because my new rental won't allow her.

Story
Claquette is a gorgeous Calico who came to us from a shelter in Laredo, Texas. She is so beautiful and gentle and truly wants to have a home to call her own. She had a bumpy start in life and was very scared and hid a lot when she first came to us. She's been gaining her confidence and blossoming into a very loving cat. She will do elevator butts when you pet her and even makes biscuits a few times a week. She is excellent with other cats and feels safest when there are other cats around her. She will be a great addition to any home with other cats or even a gentle dog to share her life with. She may take a moment to decompress and gain her barings after she is adopted, but she will be a forever grateful and loving girl to whomever is lucky enough to share space with this precious kitty.   Claquette came with the name Flip-Flop and we thought she is just too beautful to have such a basic name. In French, les claquette refers to flip-flops or slides and sandals.  ##1680765##

Story
Hi! I'm Edgar! I'm an approximately 3 year old, male, Lynx Point Tabby/Siamese who weighs about 9 lbs. I was brought in by animal control on 01/03/2025 due to having sustained several injuries. I am currently receiving treatment for my injuries and am already starting to feel better! I am a very social guy who enjoys interacting with my humans. I have not yet met another cat or a dog and am not sure how to react to them. If you have another pet in the home, a slow introduction in the home setting is highly recommended for acclimation. My adoption fee is $30. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. I am FELV negative but sadly I did test positive for FIV. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a viral infection that weakens my immune system over time. FIV targets and destroys white blood cells, which are crucial to fighting off common diseases and illnesses. Although FIV can significantly impact my health, I can still live a long and healthy life with the right care, such as regular vet visits, a nutritious diet, and protection from stress and other infections. FIV is not easily transmitted and cannot be transmitted to another cat by sharing food or water bowls, sharing litter boxes or playing. For more information on FIV, RAC staff is happy to answer any questions you may have. Since I am recovering from my leg injury, meet and greets will be scheduled by approved application only! Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and RAC staff will be in touch!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 8, 2025, 6:58 pm
