Story
I'm Athena, a sassy calico girl who acts and looks like a goddess. Found scrounging for food and abandoned in an apartment complex, I was rescued by a nice lady visiting a friend. I was eager for food and attention, and I'm now in search for my forever home! I am a bit slow to warm up at first, but once I do, I'm a total sweetheart. I like chin and neck rubs and will roll into head pets too. I can also be a bit spicy at times like a typical calico girl as I like to be in charge. But I will get along with other cats after proper introduction and time. Did someone say play?! Yes, I like to play too, climbing high on wall mounted shelves and up cat trees, leaping from place to place after string and wand toys. I can be a bit of a goofy gal and entertain from time to time. Are you looking for a calico goddess with bit of sass?! Take me home, and we will have a blast. -Reach out today to meet me ASAP.

Story
SO UNIQUE  DOB 9/1/24 Meet Kali Kat: The Tiny Tempest with a Tender Side Forged in frost and rescued from the chaos of a Texas freeze, Kali Kat emerged like a mythical creature—equal parts fire and ice. With her enchanting cali-tabby coat and the soul of a tiny lioness, Kali was discovered mid-meow, summoning the universe for rescue with the vocal prowess of an opera diva. Now safe and warm, Kali rules her domain with a velvet paw and a sharp gaze. Her love for humans is legendary—chin scratches? Bliss. Ear rubs? Nirvana. She’ll melt into your hand like butter on toast… until another feline dares cross her path without proper clearance. Kali's social circle is exclusive, darling. She’s not here for your average kitty drama. She prefers quality over quantity in her furry friendships, and she’s not afraid to flash her adorably ferocious "angry face" to keep the riffraff inline.Affectionate, expressive, and just the right amount of spicy—Kali Kat is not your average housecat. She’s an experience. A vibe. A legend in the making. HOPE ID 25-0201-G018 If you are interested in Kali Kat and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Story
Description Black, Orange and White (medium fur) Female Calico with white paws. Personality Pepper is a very mild-mannered, well behaved, litter box trained cat. She is extremely polite and affectionate and a perfect indoor kitty. She prefers to let you know when she wants to be held and if you sit in a chair she happily jumps into your lap for affection. Pepper is patient and has a gentle nature. She can seem shy when adapting to a new place, but quickly will begin to happily explore. Background Pepper was found behind a garage parking lot with no shelter, food or water. She was extremely thin, malnourished and very friendly, even to a stranger. Her finder left her food and water and then returned two more days to feed her. On the third day they brought a cat carrier and she walked right into the carrier. She must have either been lost or dumped. They posted her as a found stray and tried to find her home but no one claimed her. She was spayed at The Greater Good on April 29th, dewormed, vaccinated, and given flea treatment. Pepper will make a wonderful pet for a small family with older children or a single person or couple looking for a wonderful companion. Story
NAME: Crayola Sex: female Color/Pattern: dilute Calico, gray, peach, white Breed: domestic shorthair Weight: ~6lbs at 6 months old Age at intake: ~8 weeks BDAY approx: May 10, 2024 Intake date : July 7, 2024 Found date: ~July 1 Coat length: short Description Crayola is a very pretty and rare dilute calico, who is outgoing, affectionate, and always acting on her curiosity. Personality Crayola is smart and adventurous. She does flips in her crate for fun and is athletic in other ways too. She is very playful and explorative. Even when she is nervous and not sure of herself yet in a new place or with a new person, her curiosity gets the best of her. She has FOMO and wants to be part of everything going on. She is always watching and aware of everything around her. You won't catch her snoozing much because she is always alert. Crayola will ask for attention by rolling on her back for belly rubs and by weaving between your legs when you are sitting down. She will act coy and like she doesn't trust you, but as soon as you turn away she runs up for some affection. How dare you ignore her. Background Crayola and her brother were found at about 6-8 weeks old just before Hurricane Beryl in July, down in a neighborhood in SW Houston. Their finder brought them to a GNAR group home, where many others had been sent from the same large colony of cats that live there and are actively TNR'd. Crayola was big, fat and healthy, but defensive and hissy. Her brother was small and weak and sadly didn't make it. Crayola had to stay in a quarantine crate for several months because of her brother's illness. But she was always robust and a great eater. She recovered well from an eye infection they had when they arrived, that left a tiny scar on one of her lenses. Compatibility Dogs - yes, eventually Cats - yes Kids - yes

These pups are in West University Place, Texas too!

Story
JOINS IN THE ROUGHHOUSING WITH HER BOYS  DOB 4/14/21 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Clara, a super-sweet, quiet, demure charcoal grey and white tuxedo gal who’s actually the retired momma of the #graffiti-boys litter. I'm a real beauty because I have a sleek, shiny coat that's soft as a bunny's fur, and my big green eyes are mesmerizing! I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I love it when Foster Meowmy scratches my chin, cheeks, and chin as well as when she gently caresses my back. I was initially shy when I first arrived in my foster home, but once I got to know and trust Foster Meowmy (thanks to treats and yummy food!), I started relaxing. Meowmy is very conscious that sudden movements make me nervous, so she makes sure that she moves around me very slowly. You see, I was rescued from an apartment complex as a stray momma cat with my three boys, so my radar always on the alert for danger to protect my babies from predators. Admittedly, it took a while for that mindset to be discarded and for me to wake up to the reality that I was suddenly living in a safe, secure environment of plenty. Although my three boys, Dondi, Zephyr, and Banksy, were weaned long ago, I can’t resist being the “helicopter momma” who’s always in the background watching out for them. Even though I’m a dainty lass, I even join in their roughhousing from time to time. I become somewhat of a police officer when it comes to the other resident cats and my boys. The fact is – I’ll always love my sons! Most of the time, I stay out of the way and am as quiet as a mouse. (Who wouldn't be when her sons are such flamboyant characters?) I’m happy to keep to myself and don’t demand a lot of attention from Foster Meowmy, although I luxuriate when she does pet me. Now it’s time for me and my family to find out forever homes. All I ask for is a quiet home with people who know the power of a gentle touch. And it would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Banksy. HOPE ID 23-0517-E020 If you are interested in Clara and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . BALL OF ORANGE ENERGY  DOB 2/21/24 Meow, everyone! I’m Benny, a sweet, loving yet active and energetic pastel orange tabby with white mittens and boots, white moustache, and white locket. I’m stunningly handsome, if I do say so myself. I have my moments when I like for Foster Meowmy to hold me like a baby, so she calls me “Big Baby Benny.” However, most of the time, I’m right in the midst of the action since my frenetic personality enjoys the thrill of things. When I was about nine months old, future foster meowmy rescued me as a dumpster diver in her apartment complex. I was a young orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. Boy howdy! I was grateful when she brought me inside to safety to join her herd of resident cats, two large dogs, as well as other foster cats. I immediately bonded with the felines, although my orange-cat energy sometimes overwhelms the adults. I recklessly tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with the other young foster cats. The cat-friendly dogs don’t bother me, but after fending for myself while I was outdoors, I tend to feel vulnerable and territorial around pooches. Although I enjoy my present "digs," I know what’s best for me is to have a home of my own where I don’t have to share my hoomans’ attention with as many other critters. If you’re looking for a mix of craze and love, then I’m the perfect, unpredictable match for you! Arrange to meet me today. I can’t wait to show you my endearing side – between my displays of frenetic energy!
