Story
Location: Ogilvie, MN Hi guys! My government name is technically S'mores, but these humans I've been crashing with have been calling me "Stumpy" so I've been just going with it. I actually really like them calling me that...so it's the only thing I'll come to now. I recently moved in with these folks after livin' my entire life on the streets. I was born and raised out in the elements with, like, a LOT of other 4-leggeds like me with little to no 2-leggeds contact. I can't lie, it's been a weird transition for me and I'm still trying to get used to it, but I've definitely been enjoying life on the inside! Since I knew no other life than being outside, I guess that's helped me naturally know that I have to potty out there because I've never gone in the house! I always wait until it's time to walk the land. This lady I'm bunked up with calls me a "good baby" 67 times an hour, especially after I go potty outside, so I guess I must be doing alright. These humans really seem to like that?! Weird. Anyways... As much as I do love this living inside business, I still get the urge to run like the wind sometimes since it's in my roots, so I have to walk around on this long rope thing...and occasionally, it makes me throw a quick tantrum, but I'm doing much better with it. I'm fine, everything's fine! Since I grew up with so many family members to keep me company out there, it's been really nice to have another dog around to make me feel more comfortable. He and I play a LOT and he's definitely my favorite in the house. I get pretty sad when he's not close by. I don't think I'd ever be able to live anywhere without a fur buddy, that's for sure. I guess I'm one of those "Anxious Attachment Style" kinda guys. Whatever. I do like the humans, too...especially when they give me bites of that stick cheese thing. It feels pretty nice when they give me pets and scratches. Lately, I've been starting to let them pick me up and cuddle me on the couch for a bit. ONLY for a bit though...cause I'm still learning this whole "domesticated" thing and that humans aren't scary. Affection is awkward for me, but I'm working on it. They respect my space and this journey I'm on, so that's really cool. It helps me gain some trust each and every day. I know moving in with someone new will be a rough one for me, since I'm just getting used to these guys...but, with a little time, effort and patience with me...my foster lady says I'm going to "make one heck of a good companion!" because I'm "such a sweet boy". She did say that. You can ask her. I'd definitely prefer a quiet home, a calmer home. Little humans really aren't my thing, they kind of freak me out to be honest. I need an easy-breezy lifestyle where I can just be my chill, lazy self with a bigger 2-legged or two and definitely a 4-legged friend that wants to play like me. I just need a little corner for my crate/bed and a few toys that I can drag in there when I need some me time, that's all I ask. I'm more than cool with laying in my crate and snoozing while the humans are away. In fact, I prefer my crate a lot of the time. It's my safe zone and I love it! I guess I'll wrap this up now cause it's almost time for dinner and I loooooovvveeeee to eat...maybe too much because for a stray I'm quite a chunk! Anyways, thanks for reading my bio and although I'm still a little rough around the edges, I'M JUSSA BABYYY and I'll get there eventually, I promise. Hope to meet you soon! -Stumps McGee --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Meet Holly, a 4 year old Corgi who has had a really rough start to life and will need a home that can offer a lot of patience and love. Holly is not yet house trained, but she is consistent with going to the bathroom on her pee pads. Potty training is very slow because she’s not accustomed to a leash yet. She likes to turn into a little alligator and roll. There have been a couple of times that she will sniff and pee outside in between her rolling episodes. But it’s been a slow process getting her used to a leash and we are trying a harness. She does very well in a kennel/pen and is calm when we leave the house and overnight. Because she is still so scared, that’s been her favorite place to be so she can rest. She also LOVES her stuffed animals and loves to cuddle and nuzzle them. Holly is great with my two resident dogs and cats. She loves to watch their behavior and has shown interest in wanting to play with them, but she’s still working on coming out of her shell. But she is getting excited and is starting to wag her little tail during morning routines! Holly will need a calm home and it’s preferable if you have another calm dog or two in the house. Right now she’s just so scared of everything; loud noises, storms, etc. It will be a while until her personality comes out and needs so much love and patience. She loves to be held in a blanket so she can cuddle and relax and have that sense of security. She cannot wait to find her forever family and start living the good life!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 28, 2025, 10:00 pm

Story
Cedric is a 30-pound Corgi who is just a bundle of happiness.  He loves dogs, cats, and kids.  He is super smart and has learned to ring the bell when he needs to go out to potty.  He is fully potty trained.  He is fantastic in his kennel and doesn't make a peep.  He has just started learning to walk on a leash so he needs some work there but as smart as he is, he should pick it up real quick.  He loves toys and playing and also napping is his favorite.  He is eager to please so he will be a fantastic family member!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   **Paisley is arriving in MN on 3/15. The information provided below is all that we know at this time about Paisley. More info will be added to her bio as we get it!**   Meet Paisley! (1yo, 24lb and growing!) Paisley is a tiny Pembroke Corgi who was left at the shelter because her family said she was resource guarding. The rescue volunteers haven’t been able to recreate that behavior though, as hard as they have tried! Paisley is so far being super sweet with everyone she has met so far - though  we aren’t sure on kids and cats yet.  Paisley is a super smart, compact little companion who has boundless puppy energy! Paisley will probably need space to run and roam, basic obedience, potty and crate training, and the whole puppy package! Her current foster in KY says she's doing great with potty training though, and is very smart.
