Story
Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Is it because he isn't as pretty as some other dogs? It certainly isn't because of his behavior. Journey is waiting to have a home of his own with people who will provide him with the love and attention he deserves.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Adoption Donation   $ 499 Located:  in RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: approx 2 years old or Weight: 45lbs     Layne is in a foster home with young kids, cats and other dogs. She does Soo well with all.  Layne is a tad timid with new people; she does better with females but lives just fine with my husband. She is coming around to him after 2 months but we think a female-only home would be best for her.  I would like to see her go to a home with another friendly dog to help her confidence and a fenced yard where she can play fetch and run freely.  She is pee shy on a leash with strangers and needs a yard to roam to do her business until she warms up to you. she is house trained and walks well on a leash once she has warmed up to her new person.  We all love Layne girl at our house. She is easy and pretty quiet. All she wants in life is a gentle touch and someone to love her and of course the yummiest treats . Once Layne warms up and gets used to her new home, she will be your best friend for the rest of her life.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Benji is up for adoption in TX only! Benji is a 1-year-old, 25-pound Red Heeler/Carolina mix who’s likely full-grown and ready to find his forever home. This handsome boy has a stunning red coat and an even more beautiful personality. While he may be a little timid at first, it doesn’t take long for his playful and affectionate side to shine through. Benji is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and humans. He’s incredibly sweet and has a natural charm that makes him a joy to be around. He’s also a quick learner! Benji is fully potty trained (not a single accident!) and picked up the “sit” command in just a couple of days. Though he still has some puppy energy, Benji is well on his way to becoming the perfect companion. He loves to play but might chew on things if left alone too long, so he’ll need some monitoring as he continues to learn. Long car rides aren’t ideal for Benji since he can get car sick, but he’s more than happy to join you on shorter adventures. Benji is a great and easygoing dog who would thrive in a loving home with someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves. Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Benji can’t wait to meet you! To apply directly for Benji click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-590 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Dog Fiona is a 8 mos old 26 lb Carolina Dog/Retriever/Terrier/mixed breed dog (what Siri says). This gal was abandoned by her owners when it was 20 degrees. She likes children, dogs her size and okay with dog tolerant cats. She will play with cats like they are dogs, so probably not cat house best. She loves walks and car rides. Loves hanging with her people on the couch or in your chair. Potty trained, leash trained and crate trained. She will do best in a home with another low to medium energy dog her size. She is in a foster home with other dogs. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.

This beauty is Hollie!  She is a Carolina Dog mix with incredible ears!  Hollie is 9-1/2 months old and 40 pounds. She's extremely athletic and needs an active home and a fully fenced in yard.  She loves to play in the water!  Hollie is very sweet and affectionate, is learning "sit" and likes to be by your side.  She is crate trained and working on her house manners.  Hollie is good with kids (older children since she is so active), large breed dogs or puppies, but not so much with small dogs or cats.  She is ready to join her new family on hikes, walks and play!
