Story
We are desperately trying to find a loving home for sweet Josie. Josie is a great family dog, excellent with kids, indoor cat friendly, obedient and well behaved. Unfortunately, she is not mixing well personality wise with our other pup. It would be best for her to live in a home where she is the only dog. She is a 4 year old Carolina Dog; currently weighs about 58 lbs, is tall and lean, considered a medium-large dog. All shots were recently updated. Josie loves to play fetch (especially in the lake), jumping through sprinklers and playing in the hose, does well on walks and enjoys riding in the car. She is a herder and working dog by breed so she likes to make sure that her "herd" is safe and happy. She loves to snuggle and just soaks up all the love given to her. We really want and need to find her a forever loving home ASAP!

Story
Josie is a beautiful 3 year old Carolina Dog. She is docile, friendly and well mannered. She LOVES her people. She lives with kitty cats and gets along very well with them. She also gets along great with kids of all ages. Josie needs to be the only dog in the home - she gets along amazing with dogs outside of her home, meets dogs well on walks and has even done amazing at the dog park - but she does not do well sharing her space or belongings with other dogs in her home. This amazing girl would make such a loving companion for a family looking for an only dog to spoil with all of their love and attention. She is housebroken and a well trained, well behaved family pet. Josie is spayed and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150. ##2091716##

Story
Meet Olive . . . a fun-loving terrier blend who weighs 26 lbs.  She is about 2 ½ years old and came to us after having to fend for herself outside for many weeks.  Good Samaritans had been feeding her because she could not be caught.  One of our awesome volunteers, through love and patience, was finally able to successfully and safely save this terrified little girl.  And that is where her Poodle and Pooch story began. General Behavior: This sweet gal craves love and attention and will gladly soak it all up.  Her foster mom says that Olive will sit and watch you from across the room while you are cooking or doing house chores.  Olive does have some anxiety, which can be expected with all the changes in her life. Likes & Dislikes: Olive scores a perfect ten in the snuggling department.  But more than snuggling, she loves to give kisses (and get them back in return).  She also loves to play with toys, but sometimes gets what is and is NOT a toy mixed up.  For that reason, one should be careful with what is left lying around.  Olive loves to follow you around and she is ready, willing and able to be your sidekick.  Also high on her list of fun things to do . . . sunbathing. Training: Olive is hard at work in her foster home working on her basic manners.  She does love to jump up on people with excitement, so a potential adopter should plan to work with her on that.  She is housetrained when let out frequently and will even let you know when she needs to go outside.   In fact, this smart little cookie goes pee “on demand”.  Her foster mom taught her “Go pee Olive, go pee” and she does.  She is then rewarded with lots and lots of praise.   Olive walks good on a leash and does well on car rides. Medical:  We are happy to report that Olive is a healthy gal!  She simply requires her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Olive does great with other dogs of all sizes and loves to run around and play with a buddy.  She was initially terrified of cats, but her foster worked on her socialization and now she’s comfortable with them (once she knows them).  A slow introduction to cats would be necessary. Children: Because Olive is so energetic and active, a home with older (age 8 and above), respectful kids would be best. Home: Although Olive is small/medium in size, her bark is that of a large dog.  She does like to bark when you leave the house or come back but will settle and can be left alone for several hours.  She would be best suited in a single-family home.  Even better . . . a home with a fenced yard where she can run around and sunbathe.  In her foster home, Olive sleeps in a dog bed at night, but we think she would love sleeping in the “big people” bed too.  She is scared of every stranger, so careful supervision is required when meeting new family members or friends.  Until she overcomes this fear, she will bolt and should be treated as a flight risk. Grooming:  Olive is very afraid of baths, so may need to go to a groomer for that.  Otherwise, she just needs regular brushing and nails trimmed. Overall: If you want a sweet gal that will shower you with all her love, Olive is your gal.  All she asks in return is someone to offer her comfort, stability and peace.  In Latin, the name “Olive” means Peace, which is exactly what she deserves. Are you the one for Olive?  Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt.  You’ll be put in contact with her foster family if it’s a potential match.  Olive is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.  Her adoption donation is $375. ##1952789##

Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Colton is about 2 years old. He's a big puppy who loves toys and chasing balls. He's very sweet and energetic. He likes other dogs and would do well with dogs his own size while he learns social skills and manners. He likes to play hard and doesn't understand his size. No cats. Colton is looking for an outdoor-loving family ready to show him what it's like to have a real home. A family that understands he basically grew up in a backyard with little interaction and no one to teach him manners. He's a sweet boy who wants to love and be loved. Because of his size, he could knock you over with his excitement. Colton seems to be housebroken and crate trained, but he'd prefer the couch. He does well with older big dogs who tell him to leave them alone, but with younger, playful dogs, he tends to get overly playful and doesn't understand when it's time to calm down. That's why dogs more of his size are recommended. Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. Please, no long hours left alone and not crated for more than 4 hours.‍ ** All canine pets should be altered, current on all required vaccinations, including rabies and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. ** PawLife Rescue Group reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.
