Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Colton is about 2 years old. He's a big puppy who loves toys and chasing balls. He's very sweet and energetic. He likes other dogs and would do well with dogs his own size while he learns social skills and manners. He likes to play hard and doesn't understand his size. No cats. Colton is looking for an outdoor-loving family ready to show him what it's like to have a real home. A family that understands he basically grew up in a backyard with little interaction and no one to teach him manners. He's a sweet boy who wants to love and be loved. Because of his size, he could knock you over with his excitement. Colton seems to be housebroken and crate trained, but he'd prefer the couch. He does well with older big dogs who tell him to leave them alone, but with younger, playful dogs, he tends to get overly playful and doesn't understand when it's time to calm down. That's why dogs more of his size are recommended. Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. Please, no long hours left alone and not crated for more than 4 hours.‍ ** All canine pets should be altered, current on all required vaccinations, including rabies and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. ** PawLife Rescue Group reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Story
Let's help Potato Salad find her forever home Potato salad is one of our longest residents at the shelter. She once had a home of her own, and then unfortunately found herself scared and confused at Pasco County animal services where she quickly declined due to kennel stress. This is a very common occurrence in shelter dogs and when a plea went out for her rescue, we knew we needed to be her helping hand. While we will never know why Potato Salad ended up at the shelter, what we do know is that she deserves to find her furever best friend. Potato Salad is a favorite among shelter volunteers. She loves going for car rides, getting pup cups, and going for walks around town. Her favorite summer pastime is cooling off in the kiddie pool. And sitting like an human in her favorite patio chair. Don't forget the butt scratches and belly rubs too! She's an affectionate girl Even though our volunteers and staff spend extra time with Potato Salad everday, and she gets out 3 times a day; she is starting to get depressed being in a kennel for so long. She lays down on her bed day in and day out, not wanting to eat, and waiting for someone to give her a chance. At only 2 years old, she's spent almost half her life in a shelter .. Potato salad would do best in an adult only home (single adult would be preferred). Although she has her quirks, she is fiercely loyal and loves her people. She can be shy and timid at first with new people but once she gets to know you she wants nothing more then your love and companionship. Potato Salad needs someone who will advocate for her, respect her boundaries, and help her continue to navigate the world confidently. She gets along with some dogs and enjoys playing with them. However a meet and greet with any dogs in the home would be required prior to adoption. Potato Salads adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor, and we are also offering 2 complementary dog training sessions with her new adoptive family to ensure long term success! Potato Salad is fixed, microchip, up-to-date on vaccines and flea and heartworm prevention. She is also kennel trained, and walks well on a leash. She is believed to be a Carolina dog/cur mix and weighs around 45lbs. If you are interested in meeting Potato Salad, please fill out an application today!
