Story
My father took this cat in and loved it dearly. Sadly, he passed away and I don't live nearby and cannot take the cat home with me. The cat was very nice to me (when I did get to interact with it) and my father but is slow to come around people.

Story
I adopted Sophie at the Placer SPCA in September 2021, she was 6 years old at the time of adoption and is currently 9 years old. An ideal home for Sophie would be an experienced owner with adults only in the household. Sophie is required to be the only cat in the household due to not getting along with other animals. Children make Sophie nervous. Sophie can be described as a talkative, skittish, playful sometimes, can become cuddly when she is comfortable, she loves to look outside for squirrels and birds, She loves catnip.

Story
Boo is a return to IBR who has been with us about 6 months. He's been warming up slowly and heating up by tens of degrees this past week or so. He'll stay with the foster and not go to Petsmart. Sometimes going to Petsmart can be super traumatic for a returned cat. He will require a patient home with lots of love to give. He would be great for a work at home individual. You can meet Boo by calling 916-705-6884 for an appointment. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat

Story
Meow! I am a five-year-old kitty simply looking for someone to love me. I was a neighborhood stray and then was taken in for a few years by a lovely young lady. I still got my outdoor time but I love being at home at night, when it's cold or rainy, or during an occasional lazy day. While my owner had me she took me to the vet and had me neutered and vaccinated - I did not like it! I use the litter box just fine and consider myself very low maintenance. My owner moved to a place where pets are not allowed so I was unable to go with her. I'm desperately looking for another place to cuddle up during this winter and hopefully forever. I am a great companion!

Story
Boo is a sweet indoor outdoor kitty! She likes to sleep on your lap but doesn't love being held. She has been an indoor/outdoor cat for the last few years but has been litter boxed in the past. Shots are up to date as of December 2024. She has gotten along very well with two dogs in the past, but she is uncomfortable around my two male cats. She has tuxedo patterning but she keeps the jacket buttoned (white patches are small). She can be pretty talkative when she wants pets! I'll be moving out of state soon and I'm really hoping to avoid placing her in a shelter

Story
We have several litters of kittens to chose from- all colors- Tabby, Black/White, Orange ETC. Many are yet to be listed. Please fill out an application ASAP for priority consideration (link at the bottom). See why we are different from other rescues & Shelters! ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***FOOD: Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We've been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! ADOPTION FEES: See website- https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _______________________________________________________________ ****APPLICATION:**** For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. You can fill out electronically or print out and take a picture of the application & send it via email, whichever is easiest for you. https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process
