Although I love my cat dearly, she needs to have a particular circumstance in order to thrive. I got her as a little kitten who was feral. I raised her myself, tamed her myself. Because of her more feral genes however, she does not at all like other cats and is very territorial. I recently had gotten a sweet little kitty who was always trying to play with her, and she was pretty nasty to him no matter what he was doing. I spent weeks slowly introducing them and tried many methods but to no avail. She also doesn't like dogs, even though she had been around them for quite a long time beforehand. She doesn't like to travel. She gets stressed easily with too many strangers coming around, unless they sit on the ground with her, talk to her and spend a lot of time on her level. Otherwise she will just hide. She is definitely more of a one person kind of cat, unless that important quality time on the ground, on her level, is met. I am moving and traveling soon too. Molly is a lovely 1 year old female tabby. She is very friendly with people and likes to receive attention. Molly does well with other passive cats that don't like to be in her face, or she would be great as the only cat in the home. Consider meeting Ms. Molly at our shelter, she's a real sweetie!

Story

Merlot is a two year old female kitty. She was found in a busy parking lot by one of our volunteers. She is a vocal and fun girl. Merlot loves to play with all toys and is very sweet. She would do best in a home with no other pets (likes to be the center of attention) and in a home with kids, she would prefer them to be 8 years+. Merlot had a urinary inflation once, so we put her on urinary food and she hasn't had an issue since. We buy her food at Publix for $10 and it lasts her a month so there isn't an additional expense. Merlot has been overlooked at our shelter for so long, we would love to see her move along to her furever home. Consider meeting her at our shelter.
