Story
Hi! My name is Zola. I’m a sweet and quiet kitty, about 2 years old, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I used to live with over 20 other cats, but when my owner received a terminal diagnosis, I had to say goodbye and start looking for a new family to call my own. I might be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, my true personality shines. I’ll come to you for pets and attention on my time, showing you just how much love I have to give. I’m very easygoing and don’t cause any trouble—I’m just happy to be around gentle people and friendly cats who will let me come out of my shell in my own time. If you’re patient and have a calm home, I think we could be the perfect match. I’m ready to find my forever family—could it be with you? Zola is litter trained, has been vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and microchipped. She will be having a dental cleaning done in the coming weeks and will be ready for adoption at that time! Applications can be submitted here: https://www.aplanimalrescue.org/cats

Story
Jinx is a Toyger cat with anxiety issues. He does not do well with adult cats -he can be very aggressive to the point of drawing blood and the stress will cause him to pee outside of the litter box. He used to only have issues with one of my cats, but now the cat he was best friends with cannot stand him and the fights are violent and multiple times a day. Now that he is in his own room he is doing pretty well. He pees in the litter box perfectly, but will still poop on the floor next to the box occasionally. The cats do still try to fight through the door occasionally so he is still having some stress. He is extremely cuddly, loves people, is gentle with humans. He MUST remain on his meds in order for him to be sweet and cuddly. Off meds he’s nearly feral and doesn’t like being pet. His anxiety meds are very inexpensive, roughly $4 every two months at Walmart (without insurance). It’s the generic brand of Prozac. Note: even missing a day or two of meds his anxiety gets high.
