Hi! My name is Zola. I’m a sweet and quiet kitty, about 2 years old, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I used to live with over 20 other cats, but when my owner received a terminal diagnosis, I had to say goodbye and start looking for a new family to call my own. I might be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, my true personality shines. I’ll come to you for pets and attention on my time, showing you just how much love I have to give. I’m very easygoing and don’t cause any trouble—I’m just happy to be around gentle people and friendly cats who will let me come out of my shell in my own time. If you’re patient and have a calm home, I think we could be the perfect match. I’m ready to find my forever family—could it be with you? Zola is litter trained, has been vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and microchipped. Story

Mercer is a mellow man looking for a home! This young guy was brought into our care after being found as a stray - he`s met other cats here @ CVHS and coexists just fine and LOVES dog friends! This guy is estimated to be almost 3 years old, has been with us since March of 2024. When he originally came to us, he was missing hair and had open sores/wounds covering his body. After medical exams, numerous medications and vet visits - it was recommended we take him to a specialist. Enter our friends at Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids (they rock!) who got him right into Blue Pearl for a host of more tests. After a couple of visits, it was determined he had allergies and is now on an allergy serum. This serum lasts around 3 months or so per bottle. At time of this writing, he currently has a full bottle, ready to go! This medication is on the pricier side ($253), but keeps him comfortable and on this medication he was able to regrow all of his hair. During his evaluation process, we`ve been able to let him hang out in an administrative office for monitoring. He has such an enjoyable personality, in addition to his love of helping with paperwork and office duties! Mercer can`t resist a good snuggle session with the humans. He also loves riding around in his kitty stroller (that will go home with him) and saying hi to everyone on his walk-abouts. We are going to miss Mercer something fierce here as we`ve gotten used to seeing him every single day for the past several months and laughing at his antics, but it`s time for Mercer to find his home.
