I can be a bit skittish and play hard to get, but deep down I do like to play - and if you hold your hand out to me, prepare for your fingers to get licked! Also, I like to tear up cardboard so I wouldn't give me a box to lay in unless you need some DIY packing confetti! I do well in low activity environments, and I like to nap on comfy pillows or rugs. Hi! I'm Persephone, and my foster parents call me Persy. I'm the sweetest and most mellow cat you will ever meet! I have beautiful eyes that change color from blue to green and brown - they will melt your heart. I'm affectionate and follow my foster mom everywhere, even if that means I must wake up from the deepest sleep. I have the gentlest meow and I talk to you sometimes, but rarely in a feisty way. I do well with kids, even when they try to play with me their way. I'm very gentle, like I don't know how to scratch or bite you. I'm very well behaved and am curious but respectful. I understand "no" well. I'm patiently waiting at a door if I'm not allowed in a room. I can entertain myself - my favorite toys are little balls that I chase around. Sometimes I can even play fetch! I have no desire to sneak outdoors, like other cats may do. I like food but I almost never beg for food. I am currently eating a special food to lose some weight so I can be the healthiest and happiest I can be, so I’m looking for a family who can continue to help me with that! Please adopt me and I will love you forever! All cats go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
