Story
**Local Family Provides Shelter for Stray Cat Family** Last month, a local family discovered a mama cat and her five kittens huddled on their doorstep. Though unable to bring them inside due to their senior cat, the family quickly stepped into action, crafting a cozy shelter out of a cooler equipped with a heating pad. A waterproof cover keeps the feline family warm and dry, but with colder weather setting in, the family is growing concerned about keeping them safe. Feeding the cats twice daily and ensuring they have fresh water, the family has also been working to earn the trust of their timid guests. "They don’t seem feral,” a family member said. “Mama and most of the kittens let us pet them.” The family plans to pay for the kittens’ vaccinations and check-ups to make future adoptions easier but has yet to corral them for the vet visit. "We just want to give them the best chance at a furever home." Until then, the furry visitors remain a part of this household's extended family.

Story
Sid (short for Obsidian) is a domestic shorthair--her coat is almost completely black except for a few white hairs on her chest and belly. She is one of six kittens born on 7/31/24 to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Sid can be a little shy initially, but when she feels comfortable she is bold, talkative, and affectionate, and loves chasing wand toys as well as anything that can be sent skittering across the floor. She is, for a cat, relatively respectful of personal space and loves floor-pets; when she's tired will climb into your lap of her own accord for a snuggle. Sid gets along well with her siblings and should do well with another cat or a calm dog; she has been toddler-tested and will get along well with even younger children so long as they don't manhandle her. Sid tested FIV and FeLV negative and has her first rabies, FeLV, and distemper vaccinations.

Story
Rosemary is a domestic shorthair with a "standard cat" mackerel tabby pattern coat. She is one of six kittens born on 7/31/24 to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Rosie was the runt of the litter, but has caught up with her siblings. She is friendly, inquisitive, playful, and affectionate, and loves to explore and climb and play with wand toys and with anything she can bat across the floor. When she's tired, Rosie is an insistent snuggler and will cuddle down into your arms and purr herself to sleep. Though she has not been tested with dogs, she gets along well with her siblings and is not afraid of the larger cats in her foster home; her boldness makes it likely that she would adapt to a friendly dog. She has been toddler-tested and should get along with a small child who isn't allowed to manhandle her. Rosemary tested FIV and FeLV negative and has her first rabies, FeLV, and distemper vaccinations.

Story
Nora is a sweet loving cat. She would make a wonderful pet for someone with a calm home that is looking for a companion. She loves to snuggle. She follows me everywhere I go in the house. She has been with me since birth. Her momma wasn't able to care for her so I bottle fed her and she has been my baby since. Her birthday is July 14 2020. She recently has shown some signs of aggression . She has scratched up my 3 year old son quite a bit and also has shown irritation with my dog. Our family has gone through previous trama with a cat attacking my sons face so with a very heavy heart I can not keep my girl. I have to proceed with caution to make sure nothing else happens to my kids. I am certain she would make someone very happy.
