Despite our best efforts, Hershey wasn't growing or gaining weight as expected, and even our dedicated vets were initially puzzled.
A Miraculous Turnaround: Thanks to the incredible team at Main Street Veterinary Clinic in Cornelius, Hershey's mystery was finally solved. Dr. Manzie remembered a rare case study about hypothyroidism in kittens and decided to test Hershey's thyroid levels. The results showed a thyroid hormone reading of zero! With a simple and inexpensive thyroid medication given twice a day, Hershey's life took a miraculous turn.
