Story
This little darling has been a Mama twice. Cat’s Cradle was finally able to get her spayed. Cindy is special needs because she had to be rushed to the emergency clinic one evening when she had a severe asthma attack. Since then she has only had one more attack and a nebulizer took care of it. We don’t think it’s going to be much of a problem. Cindy is super sweet and affectionate. She deserves someone to love and care for her... she has so much love to reciprocate. Will you be the one to give her a true forever home? In return you will get a lifetime of love filled with loud purrs! Cindy’s approximate date of birth is 1/27/19.

Story
Cleo, DSH, Blue(grey) spayed female. Est DOB 7/4/21, vaccines current Cleo was brought into the Partners for Cats fold because her owners didn’t want to pay to have her broken leg fixed. The vet called us and we agreed to take this pretty girl and pay for her leg to be removed and save her life. She is a really sweet girl who is also very smart as well as pretty. She’s a small, thin, oriental type who doesn’t bond to other kitties. She is looking for someone who needs a loving best friend. She is a sweet calm cat who loves attention. She would do well as an only cat or with other independent kitties. Don’t know about dogs, but most cats will adapt well with both dogs and children if they are well behaved. She currently lives with Jean in the South Mountain Park area, Burke County NC Her adoption fee is $75.00. A completed adoption form is required and you must be approved to adopt her. Jean can be contacted at 828-437-8769

Story
For more information about adopting Mikey, please text or call Wendy with The Cats’ Cradle at (828) 334-6875. Hi, my name is Mike and I have a very sad story. I was adopted from a shelter as a small kitten and went into a home where I was horribly abused by a member of the family. Instead of learning how to be a happy, loving, and playful kitten, I learned that people were something I needed to defend myself against at all costs. I learned to bite and scratch and hiss and I hated everyone I met. I was very angry and extremely depressed and I had a huge chip on my shoulder. At the age of nine months my “family” gave me up because they did not want to deal with the behavior they created. I then went to 3 different foster homes until I finally ended up with my current foster mom who felt she might be able to help me. Over several months’ time, with lots of love and understanding, I slowly began to realize that not everyone was out to hurt me. I learned how to give and receive love, I learned how to play, and I came to realize that I would never have to endure abuse again. I am now a very friendly and happy guy and I love everyone I meet. I’m very out-going and I love attention from absolutely everyone. I get along ok with other cats, but not great, so I would do best as an only cat in a new home. I am considered a special needs cat because I may have some moments when I feel frightened or threatened by unfamiliar circumstances in a new home, and I may momentarily regress into a defensive posture. I need to have a new mom or dad that will be understanding and able to calm and soothe me if that happens. More than anything I really just need someone who will love and accept me for who I am, and who will be willing to give me plenty of time to adjust to new surroundings.

Story
For more information about adopting Dolly, please text or call Wendy with The Cats’ Cradle at (828) 334-6875. Dolly was found behind a Dollar General store at the age of about 5 months old. She was very dirty and emaciated but extremely friendly so the person who rescued her was able to walk right over to her and scoop her up. Once she arrived at her foster home, she flourished and grew into a sweet and loving little girl. Dolly has been spayed and has had all of her vaccines. She’s shy with new people that she meets, but she does warm up and will be a very sweet and gentle kitty who loves to sit on laps and get attention. She also loves to play and is very funny and carries her favorite toys all around the house. Dolly’s approximate date of birth is 10/21/2020
