Story
Hou Hou is four and a half years old. We adopted her from a farm. She has lived in our house with two other cats and has learned to co-exist with both but sometimes chases one of them around (hence why we are putting her up for adoption). Otherwise she is well behaved and likes to cuddle, especially at night. She takes a little bit to warm up to strangers but once she does she is very affectionate and friendly! She is not a picky eater and not a fan of being outdoors so we have not had problems with her escaping or trying to run outside. We are hoping she can go to a home where she will get lots of attention and love!

Story
Layla was found on the side of the road when she was about five weeks old. She was rescued and nurtured back to health. Unfortunately, that owner couldn't keep her and needed a good home for her. I adopted Layla in October of 2007, when she was seven weeks old. She was a spunky little kitten. She still is quite playful. As my family grows I am unable to give her the love and attention she needs. I think she would prefer a new home with someone who doesn't have any other cats or dogs. Since most of her life thus far she has been the only pet. Layla enjoys fresh water every morning and multiple daily servings of cat food. She's a very healthy ten pound cat. Thanks for your time.

Story
Update July 2022: Dextra has begun seeking out loves and attention from us! This gal may prove to be a pampered indoor kitty yet! As most know, our shelter has a soft spot for those harder cases that arrive. Most recently on our minds are our ferals, that are now loving kitties, as well as those kitties that we lovingly call Independents. Dextra is one of our Independent gals. She is one of a handful of kitties that still do not want human affection and that is okay. She will likely never seek attention and will rarely allow you to be close. She would not mind a barn home or shop. A place where she can just be on her own without forced human interactions, to be fed and kept warm, with the ability to get out of the elements when she desired. These kitties have a place in the world and it could be with you!
