Story
Dr. Jack is estimated at 3 1/2 years old. He does well with other cats, but would prefer a home without dogs or kids. He is FIV+ and should go to a home with other FIV+ cats, or be the only cat in the home. Dr. Jack has come a very long way since arriving at the shelter a year and a half ago. When he first arrived he would not allow staff to get near him, but today, he enjoys pets, and will hesitantly allow staff members to pick him up for a quick snuggle. We know he will only continue to improve in a home setting with a patient adopter!More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

Story
By looking at him, O'Malley is the true definition of an alley cat. He has had a rough start to his life living on the streets for 8 years. When he was surrendered to MAHS, he was diagnosed with FIV, an immunodeficiency virus, and Pemphigus Foliaceous, an autoimmune skin disorder. Because of these diagnoses, O'Malley often gets overlooked for adoption. Both are very manageable disorders, and they don't define O'Malley's sweet, but timid, personality. O'Malley can often be found hiding in the cat trees or looking out the windows at the shelter, but he doesn't mind being held or petted. He does well with the other FIV kitties in his room, and would do fine in a home with children.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

Story
Big Fish the epitome of laziness. He can always be found lounging around the cat room in various areas. Big Fish enjoys the company of all people, children, other cats, and dogs. He will flop over anytime anyone offers affection, and once he's comfortable, he can't be bothered to get up from his comfy spot! Big Fish would fit into just about any home, and he has been eagerly awaiting his forever home for far too long.More information? Story
Professor Jiggles is an adventurous little guy. He is currently our longest term resident, and would really benefit from a home setting! He was surrendered as a semi feral kitty, who has lived his whole life outside. After being in a shelter setting for over 1 year, he is finally accepting some pets from our staff members. Jiggles does great with other animals, including dogs, and would do really great in a home with at least one other cat. His ideal adopter would be someone patient with a willingness to allow him to just exist in their home until he has settled in enough to trust them, however long that may take!More information?
