Story
Queenie is a very sweet gal who lost her home due to a domestic abuse problem. Fortunately, Queenie was not abused herself! She is extremely affectionate, and a laid-back girl who loves a good comfortable place to sleep! She has never seen a dog, but seems to get along well with one or two other cats, although she is a bit bossy with cats because it is her goal in life to get the most attention! Queenie has healed from the ear infection she had when she arrived, which has disfigured her ear. She is basically healthy, and likes dry kibble and wet food. She hopes you will see the love in her eyes and not focus on her ear.

Story
Tashi was actually a cat that belonged to my daughter, who left my home when she was 14 a few years ago to live with an adult sibling to be safe because of a domestic abuse situation I was in with a stepfather after their dad died. My daughter is 18 now and doesn't want her cat back because the cat was given to her by the abuser and is a trigger for her. All this has nothing to do with the cat. Tashi is so affectionate and sweet and deserves so much more attention than I can give her. I've been working crazy hours on a dairy farm and I'm hardly home. And now in a month, I will be relocating, because I'm getting married and there is a huge Weimariner dog in that home that would eat this cat for a snack.

Story
Nix and Lilith are tortoiseshell sisters. (Nix has short hair, Lilith has medium long). They are very sweet and affectionate and love to play. We've never had issues with them clawing or biting at people, they were playful with our dog without being overwhelmed, and they spend most of their time together. They've never been around children but they are energetic and cuddly, so I can't imagine them disliking toddlers and older. They were left with us by a friend who lost his home and was keeping them in a cage in his car. We took them on temporarily, but have since lost contact with previous owner and are unable to bring them with us as we move out of our rental home. We would like to rehome them together, as they have never been apart. Unfortunately they do not get along well with our cats and can get territorial over food locations. They may do best in a home where they are the only cats.

Story
I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in an effort to find me a furever home. Despite being absolutely beautiful, I unfortunately hold the title of being the longest current resident here at the ARC since I’ve been with the HSofMC since August of 2023. I was found as a sick stray and brought in by a kind citizen. I am loving and affectionate and crave the attention of humans…but unfortunately, I don’t care much for other cats so the best setting for me would be a single cat household. I would make a great lap cat and bring great companionship to anyone after a long, hard day at the office. Here are my highlights: • I am adult spayed female estimated to have been born in 2021/2022 • I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV, vaccinated with the Felovax or FVRP vaccine and rabies vaccine. • I am microchipped. • I prefer to be in a single cat home. • I have not been dog tested. • I am very loving, relaxed and quiet. If you are interested in learning more about me, please email info@hsofmc.org. Adoption applications can be completed online at hsofmc.org and submitted electronically or you can obtain an application from the great folks here! A home visit is required to be approved for adoption. My caregivers want to be sure I’m going to the perfect home!!

Story
Good morning world!! I was a throw away, someone growing tired of me and tossing me out. Not sure why because I'm a pretty cool gal, full of love and always in search of a lap to lay on. I'm an older girl at about 10 years old. I remain hopeful someone will still find me worth the blessing of a loving home where I can spend my golden years lounging in the sun with no worries at all. I get along with other furry felines but I would probably do best in a home without small children as I don't like to be held. I have not been around doggos but willing to give it a try if needed. If you're looking for a friend to keep you company on those chilly nights we still seem to be having, give me a meet and greet and see if maybe we jive. My adoption fee is $50 and I am fully vaccinated and spayed. A home visit and application is required for my placement. Easy steps though for a loving heart like mine. Love Penny (email info@hsofmc.org if interested)
