Story
Mr. Meechi is a very wonderful companion! He will never leave your side, and LOVES cuddles! 🥰 He is 1.5 years old. Meech also loves adventures… He ran away from his home for three months due to not being fixed, and wound up back at home!! However, his owner cannot keep him due to struggles at home with allergies. He is bound to make his new owner happier than ever! He does well with other cats, but is timid around dogs. He does okay with children as well. Meechi is the perfect pet for you if you need a cuddle buddy or just a loving friend ❤️

Story
Ruby was a pregnant stray that my kids and I found in our neighborhood, and was so sweet that we decided to take her in a couple weeks ago after a visit to the vet. We have kept her in the basement to slowly acclimate her to the environment and our existing cat. She now has has five newborn kittens, and ever since she gave birth has been much more aggressive and territorial, bolting up the stairs and getting into fights with our other cat, and she even bit me today when I tried to redirect her away from the basement door so I could go upstairs. I believe she would be a much better fit in a home where she has full access to the house and a calmer environment to raise her babies. I am hoping to get her rehomed ASAP.

Story
Hank is roughly 3.5 years old. He is on the shyer side when people come over but loves to cuddle with his owners and a fuzzy blanket. He loves to eat. He gets along great with our other cats and dog. We are rehoming because he does not like our newborn son (hisses and he seems to be anxious around our son) so he would do best with no young children. Gets monthly flea/tick prevention. Happy to provide his vet records. New owner must be established with a vet already and provide their info.

Story
Honeybee is a very sweet girl who was rescued from living on the street by a Good Samaritan. She is dog friendly and likes to play, and very used to being around large dogs. She is FIV+. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating (she is now spayed). She currently has no health issues relating to this diagnosis. She is approximately 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee -- her adoption fee is partially sponsored, and is now just $50. All cats adopted through our rescue are vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Wynona is a sweet girl -- in foster care she has been found to be friendly and enjoys pets, though just a little shy at first -- she does warm up fairly quickly. She has a French manicure on her front toes with her white tips -- such a pretty girl! She gets along well with others and just minds her own business with other cats. She is estimated to be around 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Sweet Figgy was found near Columbus, a friendly stray, and found her way to our rescue for help finding a forever home. She is a torbie girl (tabby+some orange coloring) and just a little shy at first but definitely warms up quickly once comfortable -- she is the ultimate lap cat, all purrs and sweetness. Loves nothing more than a lap and some love:) She has been around other cats and dogs without issue but acclimation is always recommended for long term homes. She is playful and fun, and can't wait to have a home of her own! She is estimated to be 1-2 years old, and has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
