Story
Sophie was found as a stray in Ocean Shores. She had been living in some thickets near the beach and was very hungry. The original finder sent a plea for help on Facebook as she was not able to bring her into her house as she had a dog and a cat already. I offered to help as I have a "she" shed in my backyard with heat and electricity. So Sophie is safe and sheltered from the elements. I have tried contacting the shelter but have not heard back and there is a wait list. I too have a dog that does not like cats so she is forced to have to stay in the shed since I am not able to bring her into my house for her own safety. Sophie is VERY sweet and loves to rub against you and purr. She loves playing with her fishing pole feather. And she loves being outside. I have a fenced in backyard and she stays in the yard. No real interest in roaming around so I have a hunch she may have been dumped when she was found by the original finder.

Story
Rick was left with us by a boarder who stayed here from April 2022 until August 2023. I’ve had a dog and a cat but I felt I could not just take him to a shelter. He was born about June of 2021 so is 3.5 years old. He has a soft meow and a soft purr. He had been teased some by his owner and he is now gentle and and likes to be petted. He goes out on our deck and sometimes in the backyard. He doesn’t like to be held but he does like to sit beside me on the sofa. He gets along with our cat and dog. He will hide when someone comes over but will the come out. He lets our great granddaughters pet him but we watch so they don’t do it too hard. He is a good eater and is a little overweight. That does not stop him from running around and playing with toys. I have some medical issues that make it hard to have two cats. I hope someone will want him and let him get use to them and his surroundings.

Story
Bandit is a 2yo male tuxedo with the softest, longest fur. I rescued Bandit at 8w old from a friend, and now he needs rescued again 😔 When he’s comfortable, he is a very sweet boy who loves to hang out with you. He loved our other cat. But he’s always been skittish, and my kids got older and he hid more and more despite him letting them pet him and having absolutely no bad experiences. He attacked the only dog he ever met, but they weren’t properly introduced as he typically hides when someone comes in. But then our other cat died and I had to move into a much smaller space with nowhere for him to hide—and a roommate with a dog. He ran away before he ever came to the new place, and he has recently been spotted by an old neighbor and we are trying to capture him. He is scared, but would be a vocal love bug to someone with a less chaotic environment. Someone who can help him relax again. I would love to keep in touch, but not necessary. He will be in desperate need of grooming.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Morelia had a rough start in life and was a mom cat herself fending for her and her babies. She was very timid and fearful but then they came into Amazing Strays. All her babies have now found forever homes. She does well with people once you earn her trust with yummy treats. She would do best in a quieter home with another cat and no dogs. She does fine with the older kids in the home. Morelia has always been on the shy, timid side. She does hide when uncomfortable. Once she's comfortable with you, she will jump up on the bed or sofa and ask for pets. She loves being petted! Then the biscuit making begins. Morelia will do best in a house with another cat about her age. She feels comfortable with one of my personal cats, and likes to hang out with her. She is an incredibly sweet cat who will need a very special person willing to give her lots of love and pets. Adoption fee for Morelia is $150 and  includes FVRCP vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) and microchip. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Meet Padme Mamadala! She was a stray mama kitty that was rescued with her adorable trio of kittens- that have been since adopted. Her kittens were born on May 4th- aka 'Star Wars Day'. She is our beautiful tortoiseshell with a sprinkle of 'tortitude.' She ready to 'leaf' her shy ways behind and curl up with you for purr-fect snuggles. She loves bird watching, toy chasing, and the occasional cat nip. Ideal for a quiet family with a cat friendly dog. She prefers female kitties over males. She's a great lap cat. Welcoming pets and scratches from all. Make your autumn extra cozy and there's nothing like a blanket and a biscuit making cat to warm your heart! She is available for our 'foster to adopt' program. She can be shy when meeting new people, so our 'foster to adopt' option allows potential adopters to take home a pet for two weeks so they can really get to know them before making a final commitment. This would be a perfect option for Padme.  Her adoption fee is $195 and includes her spay, vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, and a negative Felv/Fiv test. If you are interested in meeting Padme, please fill out an adoption application HERE. May the force be with you!
