I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. Willa and Watson (siblings) came from the Brookhaven pound. We saw them on Face Book. The Brookhaven pound was going to put these puppies down because they were so shy. They couldn’t find a rescue group to take them. We decided to help them. They are super sweet, but they are very shy. Walter is not as shy as Willa. They feel very comfortable in their environment, but when taken to the vet, they do get nervous. They do respond to love, but they need somebody that will spend time with them. Because we are so overcrowded, they have never had an opportunity to live in the house. They were heavily bonded at the foster’s house, and they loved to play together. The foster did not spend any time with them, but the children played with them some in the fenced in area. They play well with other dogs, but they have never been around cats. Since they have been at Blue Ribbon Kennels, they have been in separate kennels for the past 13 months. They both need a special home with somebody that will spend a lot of time loving them, giving them a lot of attention and being patient with them. Plese help Willa, and maybe even consider adopting both of them! Willa and Watson are in Mississippi. Rescue Riders is a very reliable pet transport and will transport Willa to her new home. His foster mother has medical issues, and she wants him to find his furever home ASAP! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods, alone in the middle of nowhere, when he was still a puppy – scared and left to die young. He is extremely sweet. Chance loves toys and playing fetch - playtime is high on his wish list. He is very friendly, never meets a stranger, and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there are cuddles and belly rubs. His leash walking is progressing well. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduced. He will be happiest as a loving family companion.
