Story
Meet Zebra! This super sweet boy barely missed euthanasia when his owner of 11 years decided they didn't want him anymore. Thankfully, we were able to save him just an hour before that! Zebra defies his age. He's 11 going on 6 and is extremely healthy. He's athletic and loves walks, trotting around the yard and lizard hunting and playing with toys. Zebra is sweet to everyone he meets and all dogs as well. He was a regular at a local doggy daycare and is very well socialized with other dogs. Zebra is fully housetrained and has slept in a crate at night his entire life. He will sleep quietly through the night without making a peep. He would love someone who is home often and someone who can walk him. He is strong on a leash and dreams of having a fenced yard. This spry boy is far from acting like a senior and would love to be your walking or running partner. Zebra is in Tampa and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, HW- and on prevention. He is in Tampa and his adoption fee is $200. If you can give Zebra a great forever home, please complete an adoption application: www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

* SPECIAL NEEDS - STRANGER DANGER * Do you have a pool in need of a swimmer? Mila would love to help you out with that. Swim, swim, swim and an occasional car ride makes Mila a happy girl. Her favorite volunteer has become her Woof Pack leader taking her home for an afternoon most weekends to enjoy pool time, learn some basic social skills and be introduced to the outside world. Mila loves you unconditionally once you're in her circle of friends but it does take a few introductions for her to trust you are one of the friendly ones. Mila would be best as the only 4-legged member of the family in an adult-only home. For an appointment to meet her, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslatresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
If you're looking for a chill senior dog to hang with and be your number 1 companion and best friend, look no further - Kelly is the girl for you! Kelly has spent a number of years at Satchel's and recently went into a foster home to see how she would deal with life in a home. She settled into the home like she'd lived there her entire life and was the perfect house guest. Kelly loves meeting new people and getting belly rubs and kisses from everyone she sees on her walks. She walks well on leash, knows all basic commands and is very obedient. Car rides are one of her favorite outings (doesn't matter where to). She sits nicely as the co-pilot or will lay down in the back depending where you tell her to go. She doesn't much care for other four-legged beings and would prefer to be the only one in the home. For an appointment to meet Kelly, please submit the adoption application at satchelslastresort.org and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
A shy and cautious boy, our handsome Kricket is learning to explore the world again one paw at a time. He may come up to you with worried eyes, but with a bit of encouragement and possibly a tasty treat, becomes a friend quickly. He has been meeting new people almost every day, going on walks or spending some one-on-one time in the yards. He is a wonderful walker and great on the leash, though if spooked, tends to pull back to home base. He has done pretty well with some canine buddies, and prefers a calmer friend to spend time with. He can be quite the comedian at times, with his different facial expressions and unwillingness to participate in unwanted activities. He is a fan of toys, but always prefers a friend on the other end. When he is comfortable, Kricket will show a smirking smile, sneak in a few kisses and a happy wagging tail. He is a very sweet boy underneath that spotty coat of his, and with patience and encouragement will be able to expand his horizons. If you are looking for a friend to share new experiences with, but still like a cozy day in, Kricket would love to meet you! For an appointment to meet Kricket, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Gorgeous blue eyes, like the singer he was named after, Sinatra is a charming, happy go lucky senior looking to retire in style. He has his own rhythm, and you can catch him prancing with his head held high everywhere he goes. He loves to go on all types of adventures, ranging from long walks, to car rides with the windows down. He has no problem hanging around and lounging in the yards with volunteers as well. He is a little picky with his food, and likes to eat at his own pace. He does love treats, soft ones more so than the hard ones, which helps with enforcing training. He is quite spunky and likes to play, running around and play bowing to people. He is not your typical cuddle dog, he has great pride in himself, and enjoys more so, sitting next to your feet or in a dog bed close by when relaxing. He is not a fan of his head being touched or rubbed on, but a good butt scratch is always welcomed. If you would like to meet this handsome stud and watch him strut his stuff, please fill out an adoption application (no commitment) at Satchelslastresort.org.
