Story
If you're looking for a chill senior dog to hang with and be your number 1 companion and best friend, look no further - Kelly is the girl for you! Kelly has spent a number of years at Satchel's and recently went into a foster home to see how she would deal with life in a home. She settled into the home like she'd lived there her entire life and was the perfect house guest. Kelly loves meeting new people and getting belly rubs and kisses from everyone she sees on her walks. She walks well on leash, knows all basic commands and is very obedient. Car rides are one of her favorite outings (doesn't matter where to). She sits nicely as the co-pilot or will lay down in the back depending where you tell her to go. She doesn't much care for other four-legged beings and would prefer to be the only one in the home. For an appointment to meet Kelly, please submit the adoption application at satchelslastresort.org and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
A shy and cautious boy, our handsome Kricket is learning to explore the world again one paw at a time. He may come up to you with worried eyes, but with a bit of encouragement and possibly a tasty treat, becomes a friend quickly. He has been meeting new people almost every day, going on walks, riding in the car, or spending some one-on-one time in the yards. He is a wonderful walker and great on the leash, though if spooked, tends to pull back to home base. He has done pretty well with some canine buddies, and prefers a calmer friend to spend time with. He can be quite the comedian at times, with his different facial expressions and unwillingness to participate in unwanted activities. He is a fan of toys, but always prefers a friend on the other end. When he is comfortable, Kricket will show a smirking smile, sneak in a few kisses and a happy wagging tail. He is a very sweet boy underneath that spotty coat of his, and with patience and encouragement will be able to expand his horizons. Kricket is good in a home environment. He doesn't get on the furniture and doesn't have accidents. He likes taking naps and will put up with a bath. If you are looking for a friend to share new experiences with, but still like a cozy day in, Kricket would love to meet you! For an appointment to meet Kricket, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 2-year-old, 56 lb Catahoula mix with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She’s high-energy and thrives on daily exercise, making a fenced yard ideal. Once she’s had her fun, she settles down beautifully for cuddle time. Why You'll Love Maggie: Super affectionate and loves to snuggle, Smart, eager to learn, and motivated by food and praise, Loves people and considers everyone a friend, Great in the car and enjoys adventures,Friendly with other dogs after proper introductions. Things to Work On: Needs guidance with leash pulling and jumping when excited, Occasionally counter surfs, so food shouldn’t be left unattended, Can be reactive to some dogs on leash but improves with introductions, Not suited for a home with cats. Maggie’s perfect home is an active one, ready to give her love, training, and plenty of playtime. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic companion who will keep you laughing and cuddling, Maggie is your girl!   If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives.   Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Peaches had a sad start to lift with negligent owners that cared and fed her if it was convenient for them...tied her to a tree with no shelter, food or water. When we were contacted by someone who took her away from that owner but couldn't care for her either and were literally in a packed up car ready to abandon her and Kito in the back yard and move. Thankfully our volunteer drove up there and grabbed both dogs. We got them both into the Vet right away and got them cared for now they're looking for their forever homes. Sweet as a Peach!! Hi there! My name is Peaches and I am approximately 3 years old. I am a mixed breed and around 45lbs, but cute as button! I am not a very tall girl even though pictures make me look alot bigger (don't they always say the camera adds 10lbs!). My foster parents say I am super sweet , very loving and am totally a lap dog, even though I need a large lap! I am very well house trained, love to lay in my large crate and walks are definitely a favorite thing!! I do like to enjoy the sun and nice weather so either a screened in porch or fenced back yard would be the best! I get very excited when my people come into the house! When I get super excited, I do not just wag my tail, my whole backside moves like I'm dancing!! I am looking for my FUR-ever home and looking forward to lots of hugs and cuddles! I am great with cats, other dogs(with proper introduction) and kids of all ages! Peaches adoption fee is $400 - obedience training required after adoption   Obedience training is also required for all our pups.    Please email us the completion certificate.
