Jay came to us as a stray all the way up in Williams Lake. He is a rambunctious little guy that is city sized and would make a great addition to a home that is willing to work with him.He has interacted with other small dogs and gets along well with Pepper, another stray dog that he came into the shelter with.As he was a stray when he came to us, not much is known. He probably needs work on basic obedience training and may or may not be fully house trained.Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. Meet adoptable Florencia! ~ GENDER: Female. ~ AGE: 5 years. ~ WEIGHT: 11 lbs. ~ HEIGHT: approx 9.5” (floor to shoulder). ~ BREED: Chihuahua-Corgi mix. ~ PERSONALITY: Florencia is a calm, easygoing gal with endless affection for her humans. She has a friendly, personable disposition and gets along easily with both people and dogs. ~ ENERGY: Low to medium. Being an adult dog, Florencia is not “bouncing off the walls” like a puppy, but she certainly enjoys her walks and some playtime. She will be an ideal match for a moderately active person/family. ~ GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: Yes. ~ GETS ALONG WITH CATS: Not tested. ~ GETS ALONG WITH KIDS: Yes. ~ GOOD ON LEASH: Yes. ~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes. ~ CRATE TRAINED: Yes. ~ HOUSE TRAINED: Not quite yet. Being in a shelter environment, Florencia hasn’t had opportunities to practice house training yet.  ~ BARKING LEVEL: Not excessive. ~ RESOURCE GUARDING: No. ~ ANY AGGRESSION: No. ~ RESCUE HISTORY: Florencia was found abandoned on the streets of Zapopan, Mexico. In March, she was taken into the care of our rescue partners in Guadalajara and has since been living at their rescue shelter.   VETTING:  Fully vaccinated. Spayed. Dewormed. SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative. Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues.   **PLEASE NOTE: Florencia is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.** ##2102563##

This little princess is named Aileen She’s in search of her forever family! ~ GENDER: Female. ~ AGE: 2 years. ~ WEIGHT: 9 lbs. ~ HEIGHT: approx 12” (floor to shoulder). ~ BREED: Chihuahua mix. ~ PERSONALITY: Aileen is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than being cuddled and pampered. And she certainly gives the same affection in return! She’s a friendly, kind-hearted girl who gets along with adults and kids alike. ~ ENERGY: Medium. She doesn’t need heavy duty exercise, just a couple walks a day. ~ GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: Yes. ~ GETS ALONG WITH CATS: Not tested. ~ GETS ALONG WITH KIDS: Yes. ~ GOOD ON LEASH: She doesn’t have much experience on leash as she lives at a shelter where she is free to run around the yard. ~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes, she typically rides in her crate. ~ CRATE TRAINED: Yes. ~ HOUSE TRAINED: Not quite yet. Being in a shelter environment, Aileen hasn’t had opportunities to practice house training yet. ~ BARKING LEVEL: Not excessive. ~ RESOURCE GUARDING: No. ~ ANY AGGRESSION: No. ~ RESCUE HISTORY: Aileen was rescued in Tonalá, Mexico along with three other dogs. He enjoys his daily walks but doesn’t need tons of exercise. ~ GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: Yes. ~ GETS ALONG WITH CATS: Not tested. ~ GETS ALONG WITH KIDS: Yes. ~ GOOD ON LEASH: He doesn’t have much experience on leash as he lives at a shelter where he runs free in the yard. He may need practice to get used to wearing a leash. ~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes, he is used to riding in his crate. ~ CRATE TRAINED: Yes. ~ HOUSE TRAINED: Not quite yet.
