Everybody is inquiring about an update on Spots, the little chihuahua we rescued from Kansas. His previous owner had scheduled an appointment for euthanasia if he wasn't placed in a rescue soon. We are uncertain about the reasoning behind this decision, but our understanding is that he was not compatible with their small children. Fortunately, we secured a foster home and he was relocated to Colorado, alive! Currently, Spots is thoroughly enjoying the sunny weather at his foster home. He consistently displays good behavior in the yard, avoiding attempts to jump over the 4-foot fence or dart through open gates. His interactions with other dogs of comparable or smaller size have been favorable, but he has not yet interacted with larger dogs. The sight of stray cats walking by does not disturb him. Inside, Spots is a model of impeccable behavior. He is exceptionally quiet, never uttering a bark. He is also house trained and will politely go to the door when he needs out. He has the most gentle disposition, even around food - no aggression whatsoever. At night, he'll cozily sleep in the bed with his people all night. While Spots is being fostered in Ordway, CO, transport help is available for an approved adopter if needed!
