Story
This pups adoption fee has been partially sponsored by All Aboard or an All Aboard partner! The new adoption fee is reflected on the profile. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Tazz is not a people-dog and still very much prefers the company of dogs. He still makes it very difficult to even approach, let alone touch him. Our director is working with him to show him that humans are not all bad and are actually a source of good things (like food!). Tazz needs an adopter who will understand his boundaries and need to go slow. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Tazz is not your guy (yet). If you are looking for a very rewarding experience in helping him become comfortable with humans, please apply! Tazz was rescued from an overcrowded shelter by our director when she visited our partner in New Mexico. He is very shy and appears to not understand what it is like to really be loved. Tazz is looking for a very patient person who can slowly show him what it is like to be loved and give him the unconditional love he deserves for the rest of his life. ADOPTION FEE: $75 We are a foster-based rescue and do not generally have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Meet Elton! This sweet boy is ready to find his forever home! From his foster: " Elton is the sweetest boy. He loves to play with his foster brother and is so friendly to anyone when you take him on a walk. He has excellent recall, he comes to you when you call him. We are working on commands like "sit we're getting there! Potty training is going very well too. We are still getting used to the crate, he will bark and cry but does settle down quickly. He loves his food, toys, and loves to sun bathe. He will follow you around like your little shadow, and loves to snuggle with his foster brother or with you. He's as sweet as can be! ADOPTION FEE: $550 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Story
Meet Coco! Coco came to us from a high-intake shelter in Denver. She originally came from a hoarding situation and didn't test well at the shelter due to being overwhelmed and scared. (Who can blame her?!) Coco has blossomed in foster care and absolutely adores being a beloved member of the family. Due to Coco's background, she is looking for a patient home that will allow her time to decompress and transition. Once won over, she is the perfect canine companion. She is affectionate, funny, playful, and well-behaved. She adores playing and gently wrestling with both canine and feline friends, playing with squeaky toys, and burrowing in blankets. Her snuggling skills are unmatched and she is never far from her people in case a cuddling opportunity arises. Due to her both her background and breed characteristics, she is vocal and skittish when first meeting new people and will alarm bark when unknown people enter the home or approach her. Also due to this, she would prefer a home without young children as they easily overwhelm her. She would prefer a home where she can be a homebody and have a relatively consistent schedule. While a backyard is not an adoption requirement, she is still mastering her leash skills and will need additional time and training to be a leashed pro. (Furthermore, she loves sunbathing on the outdoor patio!) And while also not a set requirement, she would enjoy another canine companion to play and cuddle with. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and charming friend, consider adding Coco to your home today! Coco is a 4-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $350 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX test, dental, and spay. This dog is also tested with other dogs, cats, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Story
From what we understand, Mochi (nee Amber) was born in a hoarder house/puppy mill in Texas, and had very little human contact for her first year of life. She seemed normal-ish if a bit fearful when we met her at her foster home, but she regressed pretty hard when we took her home. She was extremely fearful of people and didn't ever want to leave her crate except to eliminate, which she would do when she felt nobody was watching. Over the last three years, we've gotten her out of her shell a bit. She went from panic pooping and dissociating whenever we took her from her crate to allowing me to bathe her and trim her nails. She started out not knowing any tricks or commands, but now follows "touch," "go to bed," "leave it," "sit," "dance," and "scoff." (don't ask) She has learned to trust at least one person (me), and will seek affection; asking for pets and returning little licks. She has a big doggy personality; she will beg for treats and perform the tricks/commands she knows in sequence, hoping to get a reward. She now comes out to greet us when we come home, running in a circle and barking with excitement. She likes to be chased and will try to goad me into chasing her, though she doesn't want to play chase for very long. We had her on a fluoxetine prescription to get her past the initial fearful stages, and she hasn't been on it for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, Mochi still struggles with the remnants of her early life. She will often wait to eliminate until nobody can see or hear her, and will not always do it on the pee pad in her safe space. (We have the laundry room cordoned off for her so she can hide without other people or dogs bothering her. The only time she's bitten someone was when they didn't respect the sanctity of her crate.) She enjoys the backyard and will pee and poop there, and we've rewarded her fairly consistently for it, but it's not consistent. We are two working adults who do not have time to intervene in the kind of repeated and immediate way that she needs to become fully housebroken. She also doesn't want to trust that the two of us humans are not working against her; she will come out to play and be affectionate when she's alone with us, particularly me; she will usually hide in one of her "dog nests" throughout the house otherwise, and is not likely to come out unless we offer her a treat. She is very smart and knows her sounds, and will come if she's properly motivated. What Mochi needs is an attentive owner or trainer, I think ideally a solo adult, who can help her finish growing into a respectable pet. She wants to be a good dog, but it's clear she's fighting her fearful instincts to do so. We sadly don't have the time or resources to provide this ourselves, though we are proud of the progress she's made so far. A home with non-carpeted floors would be preferable as well, as there will be a transition period with housebreaking - our trainer warned us that with dogs that were basically stray puppies, sometimes they never fully adapt to housetraining.

Story
Olive Oil was semi feral stray Chihuahua mix puppy who has been in foster for weeks and have warmed up to people. Currently she is being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs. She is guessed to be about 6 months old. Olive Oil is adorable and loves to wrestle with his brother. Lots of puppy energy that is super fun to watch:) She also loves to cuddle up in her dog bed or in your lap once she gets used to you. She is also kennel trained. Her Foster mom is working with her on pee pad training and potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, leash training & doggie door training. There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly. She thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful, but not necessary. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue with her training and help her gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training. The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along she is at the time of adoption.

Poppy is a happy, fun, loving pup! She is the only survivor from her litter! She loves to have her belly rubbed. Poppy is likely a chihuahua/maltese mix. She is a lovely, white fluff ball! She is currently 12lbs. She loves pets, especially belly rubs! She likes to attack you with kisses and then go lay with her toy or her foster sister. Still working on Potty Training. She is puppy pad trained, just working moving it outside. She does not like her crate at all. I leave her loose in my bedroom with a potty pad and she is good. Overall, she is a sweetheart!

Ortega is a 3 year old, male Chihuahua mix around 15 lbs. He is a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he won’t leave your side. He is a major snuggle bug, good with other dogs. He is learning house training, doing pretty good in that area, but needs to be watched. He can free roam, not destructive. He sleeps in a crate at night, but he needs to be able to see you. Dalton is the happiest guy. Seriously, his tail never stops wagging, and he loves every person and dog he’s met so far. Even small children – he stands up with his front paws on their chest and gives them kisses (…even if they don’t want the kisses). He has really nice manners and play with other dogs. Dalton loves walks and plush toys, and did great when he went on a hike. He’s got lots of energy and is not a couch potato. He’s about 8 lbs and a year old, give or take. This joyful fellow is looking for his forever home! Dalton is in foster in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/dalton/.
